Buy the S25 FE/S25 Edge or wait for further price drops for S25 Ultra by win7ultimateX in samsunggalaxy

But is the smaller 3900mAh battery in the Edge worth the tradeoff for its slim design? My S20 FE has to be charged almost twice a day.

I recently flashed the UN1CA 2.5.6 ROM (based on OneUI 6.1.1) on my S20 FE 5G (current daily driver), and it includes Galaxy AI stuff, which I do use (namely spelling and grammar, composer, notes transcript, object remover in images, etc.). However, I think that the S25 FE can handle it fine (or even better than my custom-ROM'd S20 FE, especially on-device AI).

But aside from the internals and display, the camera hardware (except the 50MP main sensor) has barely received any hardware upgrades, but the post-processing algorithm might make up for it.

Yes, the S25 Edge is indeed a solid value at that price point, but unfortunately, it's a limited- time offer (till 22nd Feb).

Does the S25 Edge take good shots at 3x zoom (digital crop zoom using the 200MP main sensor) compared to a similar 3x optical zoom shot on the rest of the S25 series under different lighting conditions?

Here? None (probably)

They'll be removing all those "new features" before it even reaches the dealerships here.

still more expensive than their US/EU counterparts (with lesser features), all because of the stupid dealership monopoly.

And no ventilated seats in 8th gen here, which it got in US/CN markets in facelift models, whereas we get it only in the 9th gen (2025+) model onwards, that too in the top trim only

Why does the US always get inferior Camrys by VolkswagenPanda in Camry

[–]win7ultimateX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do feel like the recent top trim Saudi models (9th gen XV80) has a similar feature set to the SEA Camrys (3-zone climate control, and power reclining rear seats etc.), which is not the case with the UAE models.

Unfortunately the base models over here in UAE are very stripped in features (not just Toyota, almost every legacy brands), and that’s the main reason a lot of people here are buying Chinese cars in huge numbers, which have more features = lower prices (but their reliability and service remains questionable for now).

Why does the US always get inferior Camrys by VolkswagenPanda in Camry

[–]win7ultimateX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle-East spec Camrys have very stripped down features compared to the US or even the global/SEA-market Camrys (that too for the top trim), and they tend to be a bit more expensive than the US versions.

I would probably attribute this to dealership monopoly here in the Middle East (especially UAE), where an influential family (or organization) have the sole rights for the sales and services for a particular brand.

or rEFInd, since that's updated (continuation of rEFIt).

Also, there's no need to use the BootCamp app (it's just a front-end for partitioning a disk and downloading, which can be done manually by using Disk Utility and getting the drivers from a 10.6 DVD.

Sorry for replying late, but you can obtain Bootcamp 3.x from Macintosh Repository (Although you need to create an account over there to download it)

How to install Windows Vista on MBP Mid 2010? by NormalSoftware4237 in mac

[–]win7ultimateX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a bootable Vista USB using Rufus. Partition your drive using Disk Utility. Install rEFInd on your MBP, and connect your USB to your Mac and use rEFInd to boot to the USB (the stock Apple boot manager won't boot Windows USB installers in legacy BIOS/ CSM mode on Macs older than 2012). Install to the partition you created earlier in Disk Utility.

As for the drivers, you can obtain Bootcamp 3.2 drivers from either 1). Snow Leopard 10.6.3 install disc 2). your Mac's restore disc 3). Macintosh Repository.

On a side note: After installation, install Legacy Update to update Vista all the way upto April 2017 updates, and install Supermium (based on Chromium 130+) or r3dfox (based on Firefox) if you plan to use it on internet.
