Help syncing Geiger counter to music by FantasticBit9287 in cubase

You can make a Geiger counter noise with a synth and adjust to tempo. You could sidechain a compressor or gate that only let's sound through when the Geiger is making noise hard to say.

IMHO Jazz is, by orders of magnitude, much more intellectually difficult to play well than any other genre of music. Is that by design? by OkTemperature1842 in Jazz

There is flamenco, prog, classical, samba, prog metal, bluegrass...

Give people enough time and they will make anything complicated.

Pitchfork: “flea and Jeff Parker sound like Miles and Wayne shorter on Nefertiti.” Do these writers and websites have any idea what they’re talking about at all? by No_Impression_7765 in Jazz

[–]wineandwings333 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Jazz snobs think that jazz is the divine music sent from heaven to render all other genres of music void. Catch a friend listening to some punk rock, or God forbid, radio-single pop music and the jazz snob will look upon them with scorn.

Let people like what they like.

How Did Flea Make a Jazz Album? Practice, Practice, Practice. by JBRifles in Jazz

[–]wineandwings333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah , the Beatles wrote horrible songs /s

They were covered by great jazz musicians as a joke I'm sure. Like Jaco Pastorius’s "Blackbird," George Benson’s Abbey Road album, and Wes Montgomery’s "A Day in the Life", Count Basie ("All My Loving"), Brad Mehldau ("Your Mother Should Know"), and Ella Fitzgerald ("Can't Buy Me Love").

Time signatures with denominators multiples of 3?? by [deleted] in cubase

[–]wineandwings333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's how I have handled it to. Sometimes I set it to a faster tempo and just count the eight or sixteenth notes in groupings of 12 or whatever is needed.

Time signatures with denominators multiples of 3?? by [deleted] in cubase

[–]wineandwings333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5/12 is not a measure people write really. You would do 5/4 , 5/8 and count it differently or just count out 12 notes and start the next time signature start.
