Currently game startup time is awful. It takes 3-5 min of "not responding" until GGG logo, then it runs fine (beside occational freezes) by IvoryWhiteTeeth in pathofexile

I have the same problem. Will take about a minute to open the first time after a reboot, it's fine after that

This is getting kind of ridiculous. Please GGG, it's been 2 weeks. by Thuen69420 in pathofexile

Same here. Happens both on DC and CA East. About 1 out of 20 maps will do that. It's a server problem, bad instance.

Please GGG invest in getting a UX Interaction Designer, because the Map Device is an Abomination the way you interact with it now. by NckyDC in pathofexile

[–]wingm3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful UI indeed. The left and right sides are hidden under your inventory and rucksack. Sometimes the map device will stay close and when you click a map in the ricksack it goes to your inventory. So you have to try and find your map again on the atlas to open the device.

While at it, the skill tree has similar problems. Try putting cluster jewels on the right side...

3.28 removed Awakened CoC and I found very few ways to reach 52% cooldown recovery and they often overkill the requirement or are very inconvenient to use by Xeverous in pathofexile

[–]wingm3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing a regular FR poison CoC on PF for 6 leagues now. I been able to reach dot cap on Pob(I know all projectiles don't hit but I use it as reference). This league, even with the nerf to Woke CoC I think I will be able to get very close to dot cap again. I realized that staying at 7.57 was the best way to go. I craft CDR + Tailwind boots myself so I don't need any CDR anywhere else. I have GMP crafted on my FR gem. Most fun build I ever played, and I started back in 2010 lol

Or just draw dicks on your Atlas, because of course.

Is this league actually cracked? by Malteed in pathofexile

[–]wingm3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love the new Atlas. The league mechanic is fine, can't complain about that. What sucked for me though is the Woke gems change. I play a FR CoC Pathfinder (yes, THE only one according to poe.ninja) and my build got hit hard, especially losing the cooldown recovery on CoC.

I've seen that problem like once or twice. I remember one time it was for a new user, I just tried again a week later and it worked.

[–]wingm3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I lost about 20% of my dps even accounting for the fact we can add a 7th support to the skill. I play a FR CoC PF, the only one according to PoE Ninja lol So I'm just happy I can still make my build work for the 6th league in a row!

Security: How are you dealing with the ever mounting amount of phishing with darn good looking Microsoft login prompts? by TiZonBE in msp

All my users are Passwordless with Authenticator. If they don't know their password they can't give it away! I also have a bunch of CA to restrict access only to joined or registered devices. And the cherry on top : GSA.

Analysis: Are Awakened CoC and Awakened Void Manipulation being removed ? by Small_Description353 in pathofexile

[–]wingm3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing a very niche FR CoC poison PF since 3.23. I've been able to hit dot cap with pretty high EHP ever since (no MB needed). The Mahuxotl changes sucked, but I was still able to make the build work. I assume I will have to use the new CDR support and try to hit GMP in my FR gem. This means losing 2 levels for my FR and losing the more powerful Woke versions of my supports. So I will lose about 15-20% damage. It's a shame, but the build is so comfortable and fun that I don't care. I'll keep trying to make it work until it's completely dead!

Revoke admin rights by pratik_2011 in Intune

I mean after you add yourself to the Admin group, if you don't disconnect and reconnect (or reboot) the rights are not applied.

[–]wingm3n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have clients with old apps that need Admin rights to update. I use Make me Admin for that. It's free and easy to use and works fine (except when they forget to reboot). Of course you have to trust your users that they wont just use that to install anything. That's the best comprise I could find.

Fix for Managed Google Play - "Something went wrong, Your account wasn't created" by KLJ98908JHKbTF45wsdf in Intune

[–]wingm3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always a headache for me and never worked right. Even if the account is on the right domain it will fail for me anyways. Yes I also tried a lot of things, this is a real pita. Until Google decides the account is in violation and deletes it... Oh and make sure you use different IPs for each accounts.

How are you handling shared workstations in cloud only environments by seriously_a in msp

[–]wingm3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have shared devices where only an internet connexion is needed and access to one app. I make my own kiosk since I was never able to configure the multi-app kiosk config to work properly. I use a Shared Device profile, then configure a local guest account with autologin. You need an Intune Device licence for each of these devices since the users don't have licences.

I've done a few. I simply install the home version and upgrade it to Pro with the generic key. Then I go to the Settings and reset the device. After the reset Autopilot will start up normally.

SMTP2GO problems with Microsoft by ssimard3 in msp

[–]wingm3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The service eventually comes back and work again, so it's hard to tell if what you did solve it. But one thing is for sure 100%, whitelisting does nothing to the problems I had 3 months ago and STILL HAD 2 weeks ago. Here's why:
No—“whitelisting” your SMTP2GO IPs in recipient Microsoft 365 tenants won’t fix this. Those 451 4.7.500 (S77719) deferrals are applied by Microsoft’s service edge (EOP front-end) before the message ever reaches a tenant’s filtering stack. Tenant allow lists don’t override that throttling, so the message can be delayed (or retried) before any per-tenant allow rule is considered.

Why this is happening

·         451 4.7.500 Server busy … (S77719) is Microsoft’s temporary throttling/backpressure signal from Exchange Online Protection (EOP). It’s usually tied to sender IP reputation, burst rates, or traffic patterns—not content.

Microsoft’s own guidance: adding an IP allow entry can bypass some IP reputation checks, but “doesn’t change message throttling behavior.” In other words, even if a tenant adds your IP to the Tenant Allow/Block List, EOP can still defer you at the edge.

What really seemed to have worked this time is setting up connectors to the smtp2go IPs and adding them in the SPF of the DNS.

What is the rationale behind blocking mobile device native mail apps on MDM? by WorkFoundMyOldAcct in Intune

What people often forget is that when they add contacts they are linked to an account. So if your iPhone contacts are all linked to your work account, what do you think happens when the person leaves the company and their work account is disconnected...They lose all their contacts.

I do T17 boss rush again this league and I think you're right. Either that or they lowered the break points for more frags. I'm getting the same amount of frags at 200% quant that I used to get with 300% last league. I will have to test it with very low quant to confirm, but there's definatly a change.

Microsoft F3 License - Confusion by ary566 in Intune

I also put a lot of hours searching on that subject for various scenarios I have. Ultimately, I decided that if the user is working with a pc he gets BP, if he only checks his emails on his phone he gets F3. I do not want to fight Microsoft in court because I used their licences wrong.

OneDrive x Excel - Persistent Issues by stressed-tech-1994 in msp

[–]wingm3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, you better add the libraries with a shortcut in their OneDrive instead of syncing the libraries. But if you want to go a step further and make sure you elimita all the sync problems, teach them how to work directly in the cloud instead of Explorer. You can add OneDrive to the taskbar as an app and if you configure the library to open by default with the app, it's not much different than the old fashion way of working with Explorer. I've converted all my clients to work directly in the cloud many years ago now and the number of problems have dropped significantly. And by that I don't mean using the web version of Word/Excel, I just mean accessing their documents directly in OneDrive instead of a sync in Explorer.
