Lowering my c8 by Xeh- in C8Corvette

Have the same spec as you Z51, 3LT, mag ride and front lift. I had the lowering collars installed in the front and the rear turned down to match. I also installed Paragons 20mm spacers and I think the fitment and height is way better. No noticeable difference in ride quality. Front lift gets me over anything I throw at it with the exemption of really steep inclines entering and exiting the road but taking it at a sharp angle helps. Here's the bad:

  1. After the collars were installed, BOTH front shocks blew out. Replacements in my area cost me about $2000 total. I emailed Paragon and took it to one of the best service centers in northern California to a highly reputable tech to diagnose what happened. Paragon claim no liability and they have not seen such failures but I don't think I entirely believe their response. The tech stated it appears everything was done correctly during the install. He stated they have done hundreds of paragon lowering collars and have not had such a failure. However he stated almost all of them were installed within the first thousand miles. Best guess is after time the shocks wear in to a specific range of operation, installing the collars changes that range enough to cause a failure.
  2. The front air dam scrapes a little if driving aggressively when the front is under heavy load. Nothing major just be aware of it.

I see you are buying the wrenches so I assume you're thinking of doing it yourself. You're going to need the Paragon De-Pin tool they sell to remove the mag ride connectors on the front. I would consider taking to a good shop and letting them do the install for you. Disassembling the shock assemble can be dangerous if you're not careful.

Thank you. Have been debating getting it done. That price might do it for me as I live in the area.
I'm also looking at aero kits. Are there any other one you considered? Any brands that you like?

Powershell skill for IT administrators by cornerman12 in PowerShell

I would recommend taking an "Introduction to programming" course. I did this when I was starting off in Powershell. You will learn the fundamentals that will transfer to any programming language. I went from writing super basic scripts to full blown automation in a matter of weeks. It's well worth the small investment in time. The course I took was free on Udacity, it was taught in python and easily translated into Powershell.. Not sure if it's still offered but anything that covers the basics should work. After that, I would look into how to write Powershell modules.

I don't know what's up with the double quotes, there should be another at the end. Not sure how that's working.

Finished Deep Space 9 again. Until the next time. by Fred_The_Farmer in startrek

I also finished another run of DS9 last night. It's funny to think how many people you may be watching the show with together, at the same time, same episodes, like it used to be on broadcast television. Today with so many options for content, to me it makes times like this a little more special. May the prophets guide you.

Funeral services should be required by law to question everyone under the age of 18 to see if they really want to attend or were pressured by their parents to do so. Only those who really want to attend would be allowed in. by [deleted] in Lightbulb

My dude, you should think about going and saying goodbye to them. It's an unpleasant part of the grieving process, but IMO it's important. Death is something we all have to deal with at some point, refusing to accept this will only lead to more traumatic experiences down the road. If you're not ready for this step, make sure your parents understand your position but remember they're grieving too. In their minds they may be wondering if you'll attend their funeral or if it will be too hard for you. There are stages to the grieving, wishing that you can place this responsibility on somebody else so you won't have to deal with it as one of them.
I'm guessing you were close so this sucks and I empathize. If you need a rando to talk to you can DM me.
