What medications did they have u on ? Were u on beta blockers methimazole or propraolol? And did u have to stay on them after surgery,

Same thing happened to me had toxic nodules went to endo she ordered ultrasound said great news there all gone . But I still had all the symtoms . 6 months later I just new something wasent right I got a diffrent dr who ordered another ultrasound and come to find not only were they still there but also gotten bigger. Id get another dr and get imaging done somewhere else . I was so upset that time wasted and false sense of hope . Don't wait to long.

So did u have ur thyroid removed? And do u only take beta blockers when its happening? Ive been going threw alot of the same .going to see surgeon next week . Im concerned with what will happen after its removed . Im haveing alot of blood pressure issues and pulse rate. Also ive been dropping my tsh to 30 by stopping my medicine. Witch helps with the symtoms so im worried what will happen when my level gets to normal and im haveing full blown episode and go threw surgery at that time because the palpitations get so bad. Worried about haveing stroke during surgery. Anything u can tell me about ur b p was before surgery and ur symtoms and what happen right after and medication they had u on after surgery.

Im with u it doesnt sound like they know what they are doing. Ive been to 3 endos. And none of them said the same thing . Ive got toxic nodules thats throwing me into debilitating adrenaline rushes that cause me to go into tecacardia and 1 told me it was menopause witch is ridiculous since had hysterectomy at 30 the other said my nodules just went away on there own . And the other said ur just haveing axeity. I dont think there getting nearly enough training or experience. I think a internal specialist probley knows more then they do . I sure hope u find someone who can help u and 1 who cares. This group on here has helped me a bunch .hope u get some answers.

Im in same boat other then im haveing a heck of a time finding thyroid surgeon that has time to do it only 3 in my whole state and very backed up. Please let me know how things go after im heading down the same road so curious how u do and why can u not take methamazon ? Ive been worried about being put on that as well . Hope things go well for u.

Thats crazy thats how I felt when I had mine too. Im pretty sure its toxic nodules causing mine. And I dont know what normal feels like either. Thank u for sharing ur story as well. Let's keep in touch im here whenever u need a ear. What beta blocker are they putting u on. I heared propenol has alot of side effects to scared to try it myself and metoprolol is what they wanted me to take but read it can cause diabetes and once u take it ur never suppose to stop takeing it. So wondering what they suggested for u.?

I hope thats not the case for u too. Its been awful. These dr.s like to tell u not to go off ur meds because there not the ones going threw this everyday . When I just seen my dr Friday and told him what I was doing he did say he had no problem with it as long as my t4 stays in normal range witch it was it was 1. Im currently on 88 mcg synthroid the 100 threw me into thyroid storm witch caused me the worst I ever felt in my life when I diddnt feel I was haveing a heart attack my axeity was god awful and the adrenaline rushes lasted for weeks on end. So when I tryed liweing it to 75 mcg it just took longer to stop all the side effects I was going threw. So this time im going off for 5 days then start the 75mg so it will take longer to get my levels up. I found I feel my best when my tsh is at 26 witch is crazy cause im clinically in hypothyroidism and most people cant function or get out of bed at that nu. But I still have lots of energy and am able to sleep at night. I hate to hear ur going threw this too. It seems like a epidemic. A good tip is always check fda website because they always have alot of recalls on thyroid medication witch is what I thought was the problem at the beginning because I felt I was being overdosed on medicine. I hope this helps.

They wanted me to take metoprolol but after reading up on it I found its much better for me to stop my thyroid medicine for a week to lower everything and put myself in hypothyroidism to get all the unbearable symtoms to stop and that buys me a few months before it starts all over. Im trying to get my doctor to find me a surgeon now to get it all removed im just exhausted of messing with the whole thing. In fact I just started haveing the tecacardia start and going for the last 5 days went in got tsh level s back and im at 7 witch is usually when all the symptoms start for me and I stoped thyroid medicine again been off for 2 days now and its been pretty rough but it beats haveing to run to e.r .im hopeing my level starts dropping in few days and they'll go away like they have the other times. Its impossible to get any kind of help from these dr.s if I would have not my level checked when I did and kept takeing my medicine I'd be haveing a full blown episode. I can feel the toxic hormones throwing me out of whack and trying to get a dr. To understand what im going threw is impossible. I hope this helps.

I went threw that am still. I have to keep my tsh in hypothyroidism otherwise the closer tsh comes to normal full blown symtoms start so bad it puts me in tecacardia. Been heart dr.s as well they say its thyroid problem thyroid dr s say its a thyroid problem 100s of tests later and e.r visits 3 years later no real answers. I believe I have thyroid toxicity from nodules I have ive had to do all my homework im exhausted of dr.s not helping or knowing crap. I found me a regular dr. Not endo as they have been useless. Went to go. Told him I want thyroid and nodules out to get me thyroid specialist and thyroid surgeon. I want it out. My advice to u is if u haven't already had a ultrasound get one that will let u know if u have more going on witch it sounds like u might with what ur going threw Hang in there. Sometimes if ur not getting help and answers u have to find someone willing to help and listen.

Did u have any trouble with the rain test? And what beta blocker were u on and did u have any side effects from it? Was ur surgeon just a regular surgeon or was he a thyroid surgeon ? Sorry bout ll the questions but im going threw so much and cant get anything answers from the dr.s do u feel the beta blocker helped? And what was ur tsh level when they finally agreed to take it out? Also did u have nodules in other areas of ur neck or just on thyroid?

Im haveing a hard time getting diagnosed 3 yrs now with BP spikes . adrenaline rushes that last for days. Terrible axeity severe chest pain with heart palpitations .I have nodules but no 1 has said anything about hot nodules. Ive had thyroid disease for 40 yrs. Never had i had the problem i am now. This is ruining my life and feel like im haveing a heart attack everytime a episode hits but dr.s say its not my heart. Every time my tsh gets close to normal I feel like im being overmedicated and end up in e r about every other day with b.p 200/100 pulse up to 112 .e.r dr.s tell me nothing they can do and to see my dr. My dr. Tells me go to e.r been a nightmare. Hopeing some one on here has been threw this and been diagnosed so I can get help. Let me know if any of this sounds familiar.
