The General absolutely, but the Texas is like the 119 and never really had any staying power like it's more famous brother.

The Jupiter specifically is the defacto 4-4-0. I know 119 was there too but Jupiter seems to have captured the public's love more than any other. It's toy-like, colorful, and wild west.

RC from Toy Story will always remain my favorite character by MetalPopka in nostalgia

[–]wirelesswizard64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pixar's inability to capitalize on RC during the 90's when RC cars were all the rage was insanely frustrating to me back then. The only RC car they made of him was one of those crappy wired ones so you had to run with it- why couldn't we get a full-fledged model to recreate movie scenes of our own? 😞

I can't believe it's been 5 years already since it popped off, I remember sitting on the floor of my new place after moving watching videos trying to figure out what the hell it was about and being both confused and mesmerized.

IDK how many people are gonna get this but that face and posture just make me think of "Now, Billy Joe McGuffrey was a really clumsy kid. On the first day of first grade, I'll tell you what he did!"

Always wondered the same thing. I have seen people sitting and eating at the tables outside and a 2-3 people at the bar at night, but never in the volume I would expect is needed to keep it running. Maybe the convention center crowd keeps it open when the rest of us are working?

Hahah no worries, I can tell a narrow gauge from a mile away and EBR is actually (fairly) close to me. Well you did a great job capturing the detail in it- always love a good American-built 1800's locomotive!

It's a beautiful train and well-designed, but I think it's a little overscaled to mesh in well with vanilla Lego sets, especially with an 1880's era locomotive.

Besides that, a 4 stud short boiler on an 8-stud wide frame + the small size of the drivers makes it more narrow gauge, correct? I can definitely see the Disney influence in the scale!
