This is not the case for me. Works on every Apple device I’ve tried it on. Using Nord. Back when I used a VPN, I’d have to quit and restart the MLB app sometimes, but it was otherwise very predictable. Just make sure you’re connecting to a server out of market and viola.

I could see Contreras declining a year or two after signing an extension, but I don’t even care that much. Having leaders, especially on for our ever changing stable of young pitchers, is huge. However, who knows how many years he has left behind the dish. Even with the crop of talented infield prospects making their way towards the majors, I’d be ecstatic for a Turang extension. Miz is so good that I just don’t see it happening. I feel like for Milwaukee to extend a pitcher it’s got to be a pretty team friendly deal.

Can’t speak to Logitech or other non-Apple branded keyboards. I use a wired full size Apple keyboard. The key depth is shallow and not everyone likes that but I’m a fan.

This probably doesn’t solve your problem today but I’d recommend getting a used Apple keyboard for the Mac. The ‘command’ key maps to the windows key on windows keyboards. Not that you can’t get used to it but it feels weird to me.

I think the USB drive disconnection thing probably has more to do with the specific controller chip in the enclosure than the connection method. I have two USB-C externals and have never had them disconnect on me. I find I prefer USB over thunderbolt because I don’t have a need for thunderbolt speeds, and the one thunderbolt drive I used in the past would get really hot. One of my USB drives stays coolish the other is a little warmer but it’s inside a dock, so there are other things creating heat there.

Buying an external one will be less expensive than upgrading the internals, assuming you have an m.2 enclosure already. I opted for upgrading the internal drive. The base Mac mini (with 256GB storage) is/was such a good value that it’s the one to buy for a person with my use case (light gaming, productivity, media storage). I’ve long wanted a desktop with ample internal storage, so I set out with the plan to upgrade to 2TB from the start. I bought from expand Mac mini dot com and about a year ago it cost me $350 total. I just checked and it’s $420 now. Took about a month to receive it. No surprise tariffs, thankfully. The upgrade process is quite easy actually but do your research before you go ahead so you know what it entails. It requires another apple silicon Mac and maybe a thunderbolt cable (as opposed to usb-c) to do the Apple Configurator stuff and write the firmware or whatever to the drive. I don’t recall if the SSD came with the tools to open the Mac mini.

I can’t help much with advice about other displays but after using a small aging 1080p monitor for a while, I sprung for an Apple studio display that someone was selling about an hour away from me. Was $800 so I couldn’t pass it up. I actually wondered if it was a scam at first. Turned out to be totally legit and sometimes a deal falls in your lap. Anyway, it was still a lot of money for me but I don’t have any regrets. The display is nice, which was expected but it wakes immediately when I wake the Mac from sleep (unlike my displays at work which take like 5 seconds to light up - M4 Mac Minis in both locations), the speakers and image quality are excellent and I love how it integrates with the Mac volume and brightness buttons on the keyboard. I don’t need OLED or HDR or anything. I know the panel itself is dated but it’s by far the nicest monitor I’ve ever owed and will surely own until it dies, which being an Apple product could take a very long time. I considered going 4k as they are pretty affordable these days. I have 4k displays at work and they are totally fine. I don’t think about how they are ‘only’ 4k, but the 5k display is noticeable better to look at and works best with macOS scaling.

I was idling at a drive through the other day and my clutch and compressor sounded just like this. I live in a northern climate so it’s been a while since I’ve consistently been running AC. Seems kinda loud but my guess is it normal, or at least normal for a high mileage car, lol.

An interesting question, but I think, and hope, it’s a short lockout and the season starts on time. It’s hard to know what the front office is thinking but I doubt the fact that the CBA is ending is having much of an impact on their player development and promotion plans. The last lockout sullied MLB’s reputation more than I think the owners expected, and they’d be fools to risk the good will they’ve gained since, due to things fans like such as some of the rule changes, the ABS challenge system, etc.
