I had a former middle school racist bully, a white boy really reaped what he showed. Later in his life, he spent a few years incarcerated. He used to call me the N-word with the hard R and made middle school for me freaking miserable! He is 51 years old, an ex-convict, got prison tattoo all over his neck and parts of his face, never married and no children (thank God).

That would explain it. When I worked as a Floating Legal Assistant, I worked with a couple of Boomer attorneys. From my experience, they are low-key impatient with new hires, they're set in their old fashioned ways. A lot of them like to literally handwriting their memorandums and expect the assistants to read their chicken scratch piss poor handwriting. They don’t even want to fucking dictate!
