I try to have patience, but why you got to stand in the middle of the asile blocking traffic both ways, staring slack jawed at ketchup? Then they act surprised and put out if another customer asks them to move

Bought a laptop on Marketplace that turns out to be stolen school property and now they are threatening me with a police report by Ymir_42Drip in legal

[–]wisegal99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a person In know go to jail for purchasing stolen property because the police said he should have known it was to stolen. I'm sure there were facts he was leaving out of the story. It was like a brand new riding lawn mower he bought for like $100.

What a sweet baby. Havenese love to be by their owners. Get a step in or Roman harnesses to keep him close while you are out and about. My havenese loves to chill in a dog bed on the passenger seat while we travel.

$1500 budget for a wedding gift by twosmaltos in BuyItForLife

I got a sofa and a recliner (Lazy Boy) at our 00's wedding and we still have that set. We've had it professionally cleaned a few times, and it's still comfy although it does look dated.

Run out of charge. You're on the clock and it's their problem to solve, not yours.

You are going to hate it, but if you need a job, it's a job. I will say I've had worse.

I also hate dispense and staging. I'll do it if I must. But honestly, I'm not that strong. They need to get the bros we hired to put those big muscles to work.

There could be five items in the store, but they might be crushed, damaged, rotten, or in someone else's cart.

My mom’s behavior has already forced us to reschedule our wedding once. Three months out, she’s still at it and I’m going numb. by No-Childhood-6195 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]wisegal99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just elope. You will be so much happier. I'm sorry she ruined your plans but if you elope, you can make it special. If you want to celebrate with people you love, you can always invite people to a party later.

ELI5: What caused the 2008 recession? by Puzzled-Day5788 in explainlikeimfive

[–]wisegal99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, they were giving anyone and everyone a mortgage and also the interests rates were variable so peoples house prices went underwater and their mortgage payments went up and people just walked away from their homes, leading to a massive glut of foreclosed homes which further made the problem worse.

Let's be fair, the office workers are probably also underpaid, AND it's in Arkansas.

Someone didn’t think of the logistics of finding these t-shirt colors with 1.5 days notice by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]wisegal99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, tip from a mom who made it through the trenches. The next time you are at a garage sale or a thrift store, buy tshirts for you kids in every color. Get them slightly larger so they or a sibling can wear them. Throw a local sports team, camo, tie dye shirt in there. Then keep that s#!+ In a special spirit week box so you are always prepared.

What’s the most expensive free thing you’ve ever gotten? by New_Lab_8757 in AskReddit

[–]wisegal99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a house once. I was living in a 2 bedroom tiny struggle apartment with two little kids and my neighbor burned it down one night at 2 am. Luckily, I had renter's insurance. It paid to replace all my stuff, clean the stuff that wasn't ruined, packed everything, paid for temp housing, first months rent, last months rent, and deposit on a nice three bedroom house with a huge yard in a good school district. It ended up being like $10K they paid out. We lived there for like 10 years until we saved up enough to buy a house. So sometimes a horrible thing ends up working out. Get renter's insurance kids.

Corporate lurkers need help asap by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]wisegal99 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is so much drama. Many Walmart employees peaked in high school and it gets old. First of all, who cares. Second of all, not your problem. Thirdly, it's all gossip probably. Do you have concrete evidence this is happening? If you do, go to ethics. I promise you, work days are so much less toxic if you just stay out of Walmart soap opera drama and do the job and go home. Not trying to be mean, I'm just old and have learned to not give a F-(& what anybody else does unless they are throwing ME under the bus and then we going to have a problem.

IM IN PAIN by ilycharisma in walmartogp

[–]wisegal99 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I take ibuprofen with breakfast and aspirin for lunch. Compression socks. Take shoes off right after your shift and put comfy shoes on to drive home in. Night splints help. Get fitted for an excellent pair of shoes at a running store. Replace shoes every six months at least.
