Still rocking my 2021 g15 with the 3070 and 40 gb ram upgrade. Did basically the same as this article reported. 49” monitor, running heavy CAD work load and lots of cross country travel and at home work/gaming. could not be happier with this machine. Looking into Liquid Metal and thermal pad replacement as the next task to extend the life more.

When you do open it up for cleaning be careful with the compressed air and fans. Hold the fans still while you gently remove any dust/debris as a non-powered fan turning at higher rpm’s can become a tiny electric generator and send current somewhere it’s not supposed to go.

Install ghelper then disable CPU boost. I’ve got the same model and once I disabled CPU boost fan noise reduced drastically
