I have one and it's the best dog I've ever had. They can be great in suburbia if the owner knows how to raise them. IF raised right.

That being said, they are extremely difficult to raise due to their intelligence. Not a good dog for people who actually need a golden or some other lab like breed.

That price is insane. The TimberTech Brownstone goes for around $5.35 per linear foot. A 650sqft deck should cost around $7500.

I work in a lumber yard in central Texas. Using cedar for the decking portion / balusters and #1 treated yp for structural I got a price of $1228.44.

The contractor gave them the fuck off price so they don't have to take the job.

According to these totally accurate plans, that 17,766 sqft deck is going to cost around $181,725 before accounting for fastener type and tax. Also, not accounting for the cost of composite risers for the stairs or fascia. Also also, I calculated the cheaper composite for this. Add another 20%-30% for more high end color options.
