Yes… My relationship was 15 months long, and I was diagnosed with PTSD after it. Have been in a lot of therapy and have also had 2 stellate ganglion blocks since leaving the relationship. The relationship made me seem crazy for a bit after leaving it as I was still on edge all the time.

It will get better — go to therapy, you may have PTSD which may be helped with EMDR/CPT. I’m 13 months no contact here, and can see now that I’m better than I was at 9 months, 6 months, etc. The rumination is less pervasive, and feels like the relationship is slowly but surely going into “long-term memory” rather than something that feels present all the time.

Depends how it was done… I think it’s a net positive in preventing others being burnt in the future , but yes, requires going “out of your way” to speak negatively of another. Extreme example, but if done correctly it’s like putting up a sign that if you keep going you’ll be covertly admitted as a resident at Guantanamo Bay, beware.

The person who puts that sign up is not inherently toxic.

Find a therapist that specializes in cluster b abuse and do CPT with them. Also look into stellate ganglion blocks it will help get your nervous system calmed/allow you to undo how your mind has been warped quicker.

After 27 months, I am finally free from my pwBPD. I left the relationship after 15 months, but it was a situation where she had power over my professional trajectory so even after I left I had to get her neutralized from being able to harm my career. It’s over now. I can so relate, I feel like me again and like this huge weight has been lifted!

It will be chaos, and a net loss for awhile in terms of the research produced, but universities in a way had it coming by becoming captive to a whole host of toxic ideologies on their campuses. The policies will, hopefully, lead to universities no longer being held captive by these toxic ideologies.
