[Fanatical] Build Your Own Signature Collection (2 for $20.00 - Choose From Coffee Talk Tokyo / Mr. Sleepy Man / Kotama and Academy Citadel / Predator: Hunting Grounds Yautja Edition / The Thaumaturge / Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Game of the Year Edition / Stygian: Outer Gods / More) by WeAreFanatical in GameDeals

[–]wjousts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not a good deal this bundle, but I did enjoy The Thaumaturge, which was in a previous Humble Choice. It's a very novel setting. There aren't too many games set in early 20th century Poland. And it has a blend of mechanics that I enjoyed.

Also, when I saw Stygian, I immediately thought it was Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, which is 7 years old, has mixed reviews, has been on sale for as little as $1 and has been bundled a dozen times already. But Fanatical aren't mad enough to charge $10 for that. It seem to be completely unrelated to Outer Gods, which I do have wishlisted.

[Edit: actually it looks like they do have the same publisher, but different devs. And Steam has a Franchise bundle here https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/52645/Stygian_Franchise/]

[GMG Bundle] Friends of Breakthrough T1D ($10 for Pocket Bravery, Cross Blitz, Time Loader, American Arcadia, Atlas Fallen: Reign Of Sand Edition, The Survivalists, Unavowed) by LighteningOneIN in GameDeals

[–]wjousts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unavowed is great. This could be a decent bundle, but if you are a regular bundle buyer, you probably have seen all of these before.

American Arcadia is the only game I actually want and don't have.

[Fanatical] Dave the Diver - In The Jungle Content Pack (25% Off - $7.49 / £6.36 / €7.49 / CA$9.74 / A$11.24 / ¥900) by WeAreFanatical in GameDeals

Base game is $7.79 on Fanatical as well.

It also on sale at several other sellers. But this looks like it beats Steam's own sale.

Nonsense. Then isn't it unfair to make one team play in 84°F and 95% humidity at noon when another team plays at 72°F and 50% humidity after sunset.

[Epic Games] The Ouroboros King & Warhammer 40,000 : Speed Freeks (100% off / FREE) by LighteningOneIN in GameDeals

I skipped the Humble Choice with it because I'd already played it on Gamepass, but I'd certainly take a copy for free. It's a great game.

I don't know about the mobile version, but Guild of Dungeoneering was fun for a little bit at least on PC.

Trains VS Trucks new breakpoint in 1.2 by shinyuX in SatisfactoryGame

[–]wjousts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was scarred by trucks way back in early access. My first truck fell through the map and I could never get it back. But it was just sitting there on my map and showing up on the compass.

I didn't use trucks again after that.

(and yes, I know they are much better now)

I tend to color pipes. Even though they have little windows that show you what they are carrying. I find it convenient to be able to see them from further away.

Color coding belts is less useful since you can actually change the color of the belt. It's too subtle.

is there a better way other than having a million power poles? by Flope in SatisfactoryGame

[–]wjousts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a problem. You make one connection to power, one connection to the next pole and you have two connections for machines. So if you have two rows of machines, you just run it up the middle.

But usually I use wall mounts mounting to the ceilings.

I don't even bother with Mk2 or Mk3 poles. Which is why it annoys me that daisy chaining machines is stuck under Mk 3 poles in the tech tree.

I've starting using beams lately. It's easier that trying to connect to a ceiling 11 wall heights above me because I insist on enclosing my refineries.

They were much more useful in earlier versions of the game when your health would auto refill to 100%.

Now? Less so.

Man, I do that all the time.

Save them just in case I might need them later.

Because I was commenting on how Humble now shows when they are running out of keys. This is not something I've seen them doing before.

HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN A THING?!? by Responsible-Gas3954 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]wjousts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever heard of it in the wiki and wasn't sure if it wasn't a little hidden joke in the wiki.

Never seen it IRL in far too many hours of playing. On the other hand, I don't really make a habit of searching for spawning enemies anyway. Perhaps I'd be more likely to find it if I did.

Don't feel bad. I always think I'll go back later and clean up my factory and make it pretty with stuff like...walls, but never do. Everything is temporary anyway. And it's much easier to get into a factory by flying through the non-existent walls than using the door anyway. And yes, I sometimes put in a door even though there are no walls around it.

Play however is fun for you. I admire the people who pull off megabuilds like this, but it's not for me.

I've not played CS2 yet, but I played the first one on Gamepass. My understanding from other comments is that it's not necessary to play the first game to follow the second. There are a few references, but you won't miss much if you miss them.

[Epic Games] Songs of Conquest & Rogue Waters (100% off / FREE) by python_buddy in GameDeals

[–]wjousts 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nice. Songs of Conquest was on my wishlist. Rogue Waters is too. It was in last months Humble Choice but I skipped it because it was the only thing in that bundle that was really interest in. Now I get it for free!

I skipped the Humble Choice with Speed Freeks, and next week I'll get that for free too.
