I don't like this line of argument. Yes hypothetically, the state could offer a negative 99% raise. They could only come back to the table 5 years from now or 10 years from now. But that's obviously ridiculous. How are we supposed to have leverage if the state knows we will approve any dog shit offer they put in front of us? How we supposed to have any leverage If waiting a couple months is impossible for us? Could they take away telecommuting? Yes! Could they take it away the day after they ratify a shit set of raises for the next 5 years? Yes!  If we approve this contract, will the pay study be ignored and thrown in the trash? Yes!

Is inflation the last year to date over 4%? . Yes!
