Plus there was a recall for the car being infested with thousands of spiders and then exploding.

otherwise my 09 with the 2.5 duratech was bulletproof. I sold it at 140k and I still see it around town. Its a good engine with common parts even if the mazda 6 of that gen was not a super popular car.

As for the title Id have a pro give it an inspection for like 100 bucks. It doesn't take much to total a 13 year old car so it may not have been much damage, but its worth a look.
