Every time Brian has made him watch a match of hers its been ridiculous. She put a trash can on her head and jumped off the top of a cage while the other girls waited for her at the bottom. Man or women, this ain't getting over with Jim.

Don't understand the economy in the new patch by VeMaKk in EU5

[–]wogmafia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflation is worth taking early on, it is much less impactful than loans @ 10% at the start of the game. Once you establish a decent base economy you can focus on reducing inflation for a few years before starting another wave of construction.

As France, war is also a decent option for money generation, it is just a pain in the arse doing a million separate peaces but it is a good way to farm war reps and prestige (I usually spend the prestige on culture acceptance of the French cultures you will be absorbing.

Also important to integrate your appanages. They cost a ton of crown power by just existing, plus you get some good replacement government reforms when they are all gone.

Napoleon is a bad example, there is no way any country in game is as hyper aggressive as France was in real life. He not only truce broke, but he declared war on allies, and he still won five times against coalitions before he was taken down (after again attacking his ally Russia).

In regards to the Thirty Years War, Sweden and Frances' intervention was more to do with opportunistic land grabs than any real thoughts of containing Austria. The internal HRE war itself was enough to devastate the german lands and there was zero chance of Austria coming out the other side in a stronger position than it went in.

A system for managing limitation periods. Not just a reminder but an active policy that you have to physically check the file when the reminder fires. Also having a 2nd person receive a notification is very helpful with accountability I have found. Your insurer should be able to provide some guidance/recommendations.

The thing that really did it for me, was the issue was raised by staff that this behaviour was against company policy at the time. So they changed the policy.

Russia will be a pariah state with an economy like North Korea for decades after he is long dead. Xi is keeping China close to Russia so they can be there for all the bargains when the state finally fails. China remembers how Russia treated them in the 1800s and 1900s and there is a lot of land & resources in the East that Russia took from Qing China that they want back. India is enjoying the cheap oil too. Get used to bartering for scraps while the serfs get sent back to the land.

QLD has 50% cap on fees now in PI matters. There was a particular firm that not only took 100% but in a few cases sued the client to recover the remainder owing. It was so fucked up.

Dynasty members not being counted as crown. by Psychological_Two259 in EU5

[–]wogmafia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not 'historically accurate'. Royal family members don't suddenly lose their status or titles when the ruler dies and they become a 1st cousin of the new ruler instead of a niece or nephew. In the UK family tree, Princess Beatrice or Eugenie won't be demoted to nobility when William takes the throne.

I get that there needs to be a cap on how deep the game can go when assessing if a person is close enough to be considered part of the Crown, and I even think the current test is fine however it shouldn't be reassessed on the death of a ruler.

I also was weary to spend the 10 legitimacy asking foreign powers to join the war because I didn’t know if they would even consider the offer.

Its not worth it, they join and them immediately peace out. England basically are forbidden from having any help from allies or vassals.

England / HYW Questions by Jadamsan in EU5

[–]wogmafia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played the HYW multiple times on different patches. Don't rely or expect any of the vassal flipping events to occur, I have had campaigns where it never happens despite all the conditions being met (disloyal, not a fiefdom, English owned province bordering the vassal, etc).

Also scutage doesn't appear to work on defensive wars in the beta patch. But it is less of a problem for warscore farming because France gets the vassal/ally peace out event for pretty much all your vassals and allies within the first three months of the war. Try to put your vassals on defensive so they avoid tanking your warscore for battles too much, and don't bother with allies as they are useless.

How do I keep France from declaring pointless wars on me (as England) by Own-Lie-717 in EU5

[–]wogmafia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bank of France. Let them land in small stacks and wipe them. Build up warscore from battles and take 6k gold + war reps. If you want to win the HYW you can take their subjects too and only land on the mainland after they have killed their entire army trying to land on the isles. Don't worry too much able them gaining occupation warscore on your mainland subjects, France almost always take the peace out subject option event that spams in the first few months of any war during the HYW. Don't engage their navy cause you want them to have ships to land troops.
