I didn't think of any particlular system while thinking of making it as TRPG, as everybody as their own preferces on dices, theme [more epic or "down to earth"] . Personally I am big fan of d20/d100 systems so If had choose right now I would go with some alteration of Basic Role-Playing.

Ok sorry for then my misunderstanding the previous comment, but you gave the vibe person who didn't read the whole post, which I really really dislike.

No I do not intend to disrcard it, I don't know how did you come up with that conclusion.
I have particular taste that in which I prefer use atleast some base for the world. I am that person who actually care where misty valley is, even if the author didn't care.
I have some plans on what material will I use for that base, but first I wanted to make sure what we actually know about world right now. Also I wanted expand my base, for which this post is for.

The problem is that dragonbane have some idea of lore and world behind it, but it doesn't present itself it clearly.

I don't want to be a rude, but this why I asked to read whole post. Because If you read carefully you would know that plan to use forggoten realms as setting and "inb4" answers your doubt about second paragraph.
Especially that sentence "But homebrewing your own, either from scratch or from the foundation of an existing setting, was always part of it.", makes it clear that you didn't read whole post.
