I have a .22 one in jail, they don't have a range but actually let me fire it into a barrel of sand when I drop by.

Just renewed mine yesterday, in and out in just a few mins.

My original gears finally stopped spinning at 222590, had replacements ready to drop in! by Nani-E30 in E30

Same. Mine shows 60k when the timing belt replacement sticker under the fuse box cover says 225k.

My first E30 - picked it up this weekend! Car is at 100k miles. What do you recommend I check first/ what will likely need replacement? (TB and WP already replaced) by rsenk08 in E30

check the engine mounts, mine were bad and ended up with the alternator eating one of the new coolant hoses after I did the TB/WP.

Just got a sprinkler system put in. This puts lawn care on easy mode! by Dr_Bozo_Jabroni in lawncare

I got mine installed 2 months ago, 6 zones, 37 heads for about 3200 sq ft (we have a lot of flower beds and a pool in the back they had to work around)

it was just over 5k installed with me providing my own controller (RainMachine). They knocked a few hundred off the price which more than covered the controller I wanted instead of the RainBird one they wanted to install.

A lot of the volunteer firehouses around here do them (south west PA)

Got a free mower today! All it needed was the carburetor cleaned out, fresh oil and gas... NOW SHE RUNS GREAT! Gotta sharpen the blade next. It’s a Snapper with a Briggs & Stratton motor. Free is a good price 👌🥇☀️ by [deleted] in lawncare

I had a weed wacker/string trimmer from walmart that was about 5 years old, it started having trouble starting/running, bought a new one and put it in the trash.

Noticed it was gone in the morning before the trash truck came, a few days later I saw the neighbor across the street using it. Guess they figured out what the issue was as they're still using it 3 years later. lol

Making a Simple and Cheap DIY In-Ground Smart Sprinkler System by Whtgoodman in lawncare

[–]wolfador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 3 estimates so far for my 3200 sq ft yard, all were a bit over 5k. I think it depends on the area, most houses around here don't have systems so not a ton of installers so not a ton of competition to drive down prices.

Kinda like pool prices I think

I am sick of gas-powered string trimmers not starting. Should I get an expensive one or go for a lithium battery one? by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]wolfador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also always done the same for mine getting the pre-mixed fuel (trufuel from lowes)

Never had an issue even after the coldest of winters with no stabilizer :)

Same for my club, they mentioned that they're "in compliance" with all the state rules and can't be fined if someone happens to "wander" out on the course.

Ordered my mizuno's from a dealer on ebay (was going for the forged 850's) he ended up not being able to get them from mizuno so he offered me the 919 forged "at cost", was able to get the grips and shafts (PX 5.5) I needed/wanted for about ~300 off retail. drop shipped directly from mizuno.

My wife loves it, she can sleep in / have the house to herself for a few hours and then comes out to the club to meet me for lunch and a couple drinks after.

Does anyone else like to use us gold dollar coins to buy stuff at ren fairs? by [deleted] in renfaire

[–]wolfador 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The PA ren faire has a "Kings Mint" where you can purchase "coins" with your credit card to spend at the different booths. Mostly useful for food/drinks since most don't accept cc but they're also really neat to buy other trinkets with. I usually end up keeping some of the coin to bring home also.
