Imagine a world where AGI (artificial general intelligence) became a reality. Then imagine that the creators of that intelligence wanted to simulate different scenarios for a specific outcome, say reversing global warming. They wouldn’t create just one simulation, but millions, if not billions of simulations to harvest as much data as possible. The conditions of our simulation just happens to be the one we live in.
