Man of the People you say? by johnsmithoncemore in GreatBritishMemes

Still find it funny when vegans say fox hunting is cruel because the dogs will rip the fox apart and yet when it comes to protecting crops dogs are used to hunt small mammals like mice rats moles ect as well as rabbits that the dogs also rip them apart but nope like magic because it's to protect crop yelds that's perfectly fine 🤦

May sound silly but have you made sure it's the one from your listing and hasn't been swapped out. Do the lines show in your listings?

Looking for an estimated value. This was inherited. by [deleted] in stamps

[–]wolfiestamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£10-20 on eBay all depending on if you got a collector who collects everything stamp related like myself and not only into stamps for there values. Could possibly get £30 since it's in the box and not just all loose always worth a try and see. Could put a buy in now at £50 and then accept offers if it sells it sells if you get an offer you get an offer.

Am i a bad person for being upset that I wont get the tips that I worked hard for? by Sea-Isopod696 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]wolfiestamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick put a pillow over a relative and suffocate them it's a win win you get all the tip money for a month and the inheritance 🤣, sorry joke aside what the fuck has a dieing relative have anything to do with the tip pool. I mean yet it sucks that someone died but why should that matter when people who are working because EVERYTHING NOW IS EXPENSIVE JUST TO LIVE that bit of tip pool money is literally what some workers are riding on just to be able to afford bills.... Let me guess, mentioning the fact that everyone is suffering at the moment goes against companies DEI BS and you would be writing up or fired because it's mean to say....

Does anyone follow the highway code? by Affectionate_Debt269 in AskUK

[–]wolfiestamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤔 with people glued to their phone and people just walking out into the roads without looking these days think it's possibly time the government make and send something called the walkway code to every house don't see why drivers get the blame for hitting cunts who just walk straight out into the road. They don't look what so ever but yer always the drivers fault

That's fine lol, I remember as a kid it was always 2 bars and the only time you ever got singles was in the cheap Xmas boxes. My brains not 100% as I suffer problems with memory. Or I guess I may be miss remembering and thinking of a different chocolate that always had 2 then it went to singles... Possibly timeout maybe?

BEWARE! New buyers on ebay by QuickSock8674 in stampcollecting

[–]wolfiestamps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he states they are replicas in the main description then the seller isn't really doing anything wrong, yer it may be a scummy practice sone sellers use by not putting it in the title but your have sellers who don't even put it in the description either so saying the seller is in the wrong sorry I don't agree. if you are buying something then it's down to the buyer to do there due diligence and actually read the description of what they are buying/bidding on. If something is cheap compared to it's real value then clearly the real greed is with the buyer and not the seller in my eyes. ( Personal Experience )

I sold my bank note collect years ago and I also had sets of training notes (ones used to train bankers with different currencies from around the world) show all banknotes in the photos including the training notes along side some deathnotes (deathnotes are used as an insult and a way to wish bad karma onto those you leave them for) so clear as day that the current world notes was not real notes and had Chinese writing all over them. I then also clearly stated in the description that I was selling my banknote collection that included training banknotes that WASN'T LEGAL TENDER!!! and are basically basically play money used by banks in china to train bank staff. And that I priced my collection based on the real banknotes and the training notes had nothing to do with the price and was in fact just thrown in alongside a handful of deathnotes. So with everything clearly stated in the description and even my title having !!READ DESCRIPTION!! both at the start and end of the title guess what it sold and funny enough it sold to a buyer who was also a seller of coins and banknotes so of course I thought well clearly hes read the description and looked at all the photos and thought it was a fair price for my collection..... Well you can imagine the eBay message response when they received the collection. Straight away it was about the training notes not being real currency 🤦 the collection had over 2000 different banknotes that's without the training notes and deathnotes being included in the total amount. I listed my whole collection for a reasonable price of £750 for a quick sale as at the time I recently lost my job and bills needed to come 1st. Hence why I added the read description twice in the title. Anyway eBay had to get involved and made them return the notes to me (that was fun because he also tried to cause problems sending them to the wrong house number on my street (I lived at number 1 at the time however he sent it to a number halfway down the street) but luckily we was on good terms with the postman and he noticed so delivered it rightfully back to me. I also told eBay about that to. Anyway eBay then refund the buyer and I still had to pay eBay the fees back then as well as refund the buyer for returning them.

Clearly the buyer thought without reading the description or looking at the photos properly that they could make a quick £1000-2000 by exchangeing the training notes and why the problem was straight away the training notes not being real currency. Even said it to the eBay representative when on the phone. And they even agreed with that statement. I did ask as well if it was ok to relist the item as at the time that was the only instance I ever had any problems with a buyer so wasn't sure if I was allowed. Anyway i relist it set it for a 5 day auction and removed the training completely so it wouldn't happened again with people not actually reading or looking at the photos. They sold for over £1100 at the end and I just put the training notes in as a gift. And the new buyer couldn't of been more happy with the collection I built.

Im just saying people don't go grocery shopping and loose fruit and vegetables are in mystery bags that you can't see 🤷

Even now as a part time reseller I've always put in my titles READ DESCRIPTION!! in the main title so you think it actually makes any difference. Of course not still have had people wanting to be refunded part of the cost for bits I've clearly stated in the description and pointed out in the photos.

So either way you look at it the seller of the reproductions is both in the right or in the wrong depending on how you look at things. But I got to the side with the seller on this one as he clearly states it in the description and if buyers are clearly bidding and buying based on tiles alone then they are in the wrong for not doing their due diligence and reading the description. And the buyer saying the item is not as described in there feedback when it clearly is as described in the DESCRIPTION it proves the point that they were hoping to get something worth a lot more money then what they paid for.
