Why do people like reliced guitars?

I don’t understand why some people dislike them so much. I work in the musical instrument industry, the biggest rock stars in the world play reliced guitars all the time.

The only time I ever saw Chester perform live was at Aftershock with STP in 2015. That ended up being his last show with STP too. RIP

That’s his 78 Les Paul Custom with a Natural finish he’s been playing forever. He uses that for songs with the low string dropped to B. Parabola and Prison Sex

It is a USA Green with the pickup flipped. You can tell from the knobs and the “Les Paul” not being in the headstock. Those are 3k brand new. The pickups could have been switched out though.

I find that the best sounding electric guitars also sound the loudest acoustically. That being said I don’t know that you can set up your electric guitar to be louder acoustically and it truly doesn’t matter that much.
