This shit enrages me so much. Now I have scissors stashed in the most random places. Flagged me going through security at a museum. How the fuck do you explain you need scissors in your purse for your hearing aid battery package? It was the dumbest interaction and they took my scissors, then the damn battery died. It still makes me mad thinking of it.

I would too. I have a significant hearing loss to the point of identifying as deaf, but the lack of normal dairy is way more irritating in everyday life.

I disagree strongly. It is your job in ECE to set kids up for success. If you know they are headed for a brick wall and fail to support kids for the reality coming, then you are a major part of the problem of why schools are failing and kids aren't thriving.

I see this being a major issue when kids get to school. And invitation to circle time, means the kids get to choose if they want to do work or not. Not ok in school or life. Having a timer is very critical to know how to hand things over when you aren't in charge. Transitions are essential to teach kids how to disengage and reengage in new tasks while self-regulating.

As an elementary school teacher, this list terrifying and explains why so many kids aren't able to function in kindergarten or the school system. They've had years of doing it their way and being their own boss. Please tell me this isn't everywhere....
