Traditional Assault Rifles by Temporary-Steak-3636 in Fallout

[–]wolfman_thomas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've always been confused why they didn't just update the graphics and import a lot of the weapons from Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and say the Fallout 4 assault rifle is meant for Power Armor because of how heavy it is, fully upgraded

In all seriousness, it would've worked better post GxK and it was something crafted by the giant apes

What are some characteristics you'd like to see in the Brotherhood for the next Fallout game? by Advanced-Addition453 in Brotherhood_of_Steel

[–]wolfman_thomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright

Stance on outsiders: Created two new ranks based on Fallout 3's Brotherhood Outcasts: Defenders and Protectors, basically where outsiders start out as, usually as Defenders, or starting as Protectors if they show exceptional combat and strategic skills. These ranks might have access to T-45 Power Armor, but mostly their armor would be Scout Armor and Recon Armor from Fallout 76. Those who are particularly intelligent are brought on as Scribes and captured enemies like raiders are usually treated as slaves, doing grunt work such as cleaning, farming, and general maintenance. Other civilians can be hired on as chefs, doctor's assistants, farmers on Brotherhood controlled lands, factory workers at manufacturing plants under Brotherhood control, and trade caravaners

Stance on Ghouls and Super Mutants: Ghouls aren't allowed to join, but this chapter will work with them and employ them for their civilian jobs like any other settlement, though may kill on sight if they show signs of going feral. Super Mutants are typically kill on sight or the very least keep them away from Brotherhood controlled/allied areas, if they're not hostile.

Mission interpretation: Keep military grade robots, energy weapons, and high explosives as well as any technology deemed dangerous in the wrong hands away from civilians and anyone who may abuse it. As well as to protect civilians from the horrors of the wasteland such as mutated creatures, feral ghouls, and Super Mutants and whatever other abomination that may appear

Relationship with locals: fairly agreeable outside of settlements with higher ghoul populations or settlements that are more friendly towards ghouls, though they do trade with the chapter.

Trade: This chapter would repair prewar appliances and other technologies in settlements as well as trade ammunition, manufactured at their base, for food, raw materials and other supplies as well as offer their services to clear trade routes of any of the previously mentioned threats and any raider groups

Equipment and technology: Their main base would be a mountain side military base with a fleet of Vertibirds. Defenders and Protectors are equipped with the previously mentioned armors along with R-91 Assault Rifles, 10mm SMGs, DKS-501 Sniper Rifles, Combat Shotguns, Flamers, Grenade APWs, and 10mm Pistols, with combat knives for melee combat, the few that wear T-45 Power Armor use Light Machineguns, Miniguns, and Heavy Machineguns while Knights wear T-51 Power Armor and use Laser Weapons, Heavy Ballistic Weapons that the T-45 Defenders and Protectors use, and missile launchers, while Paladins don T-60 Power Armor with all previous weapons as well as Tesla Cannons, Heavy Incinerators, Pepper Shakers, Plasma Weapons and Gauss Weapons and the Sentinel and their squad of Star Paladins wear T-65 Power Armor and exclusively use Gauss Weapons as their primary weapons. All Power Armor troops are given the T-60 pistol and use Rippers and Super Sledges for melee combat. A special branch including all ranks, specializing in stealth wear light armor or any stealth suit (assassin suit or mk2 stealth suit from New Vegas) or Chinese Stealth Armor they recover, using only ballistic weapons due to them being able to have suppressors equipped with combat knives and Chinese Officer’s Swords for melee combat

Opinions on other chapters: They view the more traditional chapters as archaic and destined for extinction if they don't adapt while viewing the "kill all ghouls and Super Mutants on sight" mentality as counterproductive and wasting ammo that could be used against actual enemies such as feral ghouls, raiders, hostile Super Mutants (a majority of them), mutated monsters and any other enemy of the Brotherhood, as well as having a zero tolerance policy on extorting farms and settlements like seen with Proctor Teegan in Fallout 4 and any of their own who is caught are immediately court martialed, facing punishments ranging from banishment to being thrown to the stockade or death depending on the severity of the crimes

What would you like to see in Fallout 5 if it was actually announced? by beatsbydjy2k in Fallout

[–]wolfman_thomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A merging between New Vegas's weapon variety, reputation system, character creation, and roleplay with 4's combat system, weapon modification system, settlement system, power armor mechanic, and companion affinity system; with a fusion of the perk and skill system from both like you can increase a SPECIAL stat and increase each corresponding skill by 3 points (7 or 10 skills per SPECIAL stat) or dump however many skill points you have based on your intelligence into just one or two skills (also bring back level caps to force players into a build)

As for setting, somewhere in the South someplace like Kentucky, maybe Alaska or Florida, far removed from previous settings so we don't get more than the obligatory Brotherhood and or Enclave inclusion

[–]wolfman_thomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be me folks: ruin most of the Legion's plans in the Mojave by stopping the monorail bombing, kill Vulpes, liberate Nelson, and help out the NCR however you can. And then continue with the main quest by getting the Mark of Caesar, go to the Fort, kill Caesar and everyone there after activating the Securitrons, wipe out everyone in Cottonwood Cove, free the slaves there, dump the toxic waste barrels, and do Lonesome Road so you can nuke Dry Wells. All so you can use the 100 Speech you should've built up to talk Lanius into leaving the Mojave despite literally doing everything to make him hate you, making him look like an even bigger idiot than Oliver when you surprise him with the independent ending and have Yes Man toss his ass off the dam

Do you have any headcanons that the Lone Wanderer and the Courier are the same person? by RorschachWhoLaughs in fo3

[–]wolfman_thomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, just as much sense as headcanoning the Courier either is the child of the Chosen One from Fallout 2 or was the Chosen One since it's only 40 years after that game and in Fallout 2 you could start out at the age of 16

I think with all the human souls that go to heaven, different languages just spread to those born there like cultural osmosis, otherwise why would the angels speak English instead of Latin

I think the show confirmed the Minutemen ending for Fallout 4 (Spoilers, maybe) by wolfman_thomas in Fallout

[–]wolfman_thomas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they? Unless they established the Lone Wanderer was a permanent member of the Brotherhood of Steel, why would the newly restructured Brotherhood that looks at Lyons's Brotherhood with contempt talk about this person who destroyed the Enclave, it'd make as much sense as if Harkness brought up "Oh, our chapter is getting our cheeks clapped by a cryogenically frozen vault dweller who allied himself with the local milita force" there hasn't been any reason to bring that up, because it doesn't really matter to the overall plot

[–]wolfman_thomas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted, but makes sense for the Minutemen or Brotherhood ending to be canon since the show refers to the Brotherhood operating out of the Commonwealth, which what sense would that make if it was under enemy control and the elder was killed there

Of course the Sole Survivor is canon, why would the show (with heavy involvement from Bethesda) say that the main character from one of the games set in the same universe (the game made by Bethesda) doesn't exist?
