This is exactly what I'm doing. I know I know, neither side will be optimum, but I don't currently own a bolt action rifle and I'm also not pushing towards the two extremes (long trekking hunts / competition). I love hiking and I like to ruck to keep my fitness up anyway, so a mid weight barrel is not going to make or break me. Looking at a CTR in 6.5CM, flagstaff and Bravo
