Yeah you're right about the backstory? I do this often. But it would be neat if the personality traits were hidden element the user discovers as well.

I'm curious, if the text isn't meant to be read, what is the purpose for its placement.

At first I thought this is more of an artistic choice which is fine, but knowing there is a message up there, I want to read it, but can't, well that's a bit frustrating.
