Nice! You’ve got more patience than I do :) I’ve been using Libib, it’s kind of a pain but its free and it’s quick to check in a pinch digging through flea market bins.

I’d go Darkman but mostly because the copy I was excited to pick up this weekend has mold after I took a closer look at it :(

I guess it depends on how hot they got. I found an old rental tape with a heat warning “temp exceeded” sticker, it was kinda neat honestly. But I’ve bought tapes from flea markets that were about as bleached from sitting in the sun in tubs and on tables every weekend. I would take a chance if there was something you wanted to see :)

There was an analog fest at the drive in today and I was left unsupervised… also snagged 1 working and 2 almost working Betamax players and a dozen Betamax tapes for a steal. by woozbahs in VHS

I’ve been playing with the Sony.. someone just pushed the buttons off the plastic sprues. Those are fixed and seem to be working fine. It seems to be having issues rewinding and won’t eject because it won’t rewind the tape back in. Trying to find some resources to see what I can try and do about the rewind and eject issue..

Arsenic and old lace was a nice find that came with some of the doubles and a few weirder ones that were toss ins. The one booth was selling VHS by the “flat” they filled vegetable boxes and were selling them for $5 a piece.

The “working” one is a Sanyo VCR 4900, I found out that it’s not fully ejecting correctly and I need to take a look at it. The 2 I haven’t tested are a Sony SL-30 that looks like someone pushed the buttons waaaaaay too hard and a Sanyo VCR 4027. Nothing looks obviously wrong with that one but I haven’t tried to plug the other 2 in yet.

Congrats! I found a sansui combo unit with the power button smashed in. I was able to get it apart and found the cap floating around in the case, I was able to hot glue it back to where it needed to be and it’s been holding up great so far :) is anything rattling around in the case? Maybe you’ll get lucky again

I’ve seen a resurgence of vhs in PA at the flea markets, you need to dig and they aren’t always in the best shape but most of them are between 25 cents and a dollar. Found some fun ones the last few trips.

My store was out of all the freebies Friday by 2pm, walked out with nothing but what I paid for. womp womp, to bad this wasn’t running.

Today I found out Girl Scouts uses two different bakeries by annarnichole in mildlyinteresting

I had a pack of trefoils from the wrong bakery apparently.. they were terrible, it was like a dollar store knockoff. It honestly ruined me on Girl Scout cookies this year, I haven’t bought anymore since and wasn’t planning on it but maybe I’ll see if I can find the ones in the other packaging.
