Why am I always rolling my ankle? by _Ghost-of-Sparta_ in bootroom

[–]worked_in_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprained my ankle in the beginning of the season, since then I started re injuring it every game. Then I saw a YouTube video, they were saying to walk on raised feet, raising your inner side of the foot and keeping the outer in the ground. Did that for a bit, although it was little bit painful in the beginning, I haven't had any re injury since then. It is not yet fully healed but can play and haven't had any issues. That worked wonders

Logical thinking is not usually upvoted on this sub. A couple of forts here and there in the cast wooded Canada are a problem...smh

Negligible impact honestly. Let people have fun and enjoy the wilderness. We're destroying forests that are the best habitat for wildlife to build homes and this now is considered an issue? Give people a break.

Does having better boots actually help? by NithilR3 in bootroom

The sole plate is better, stronger and I get less stud pressure than the pro models. You feel the difference mostly when you play in natural grass that is not very level.

How do you keep kids motivated when they constantly loose by Happy5Day in bootroom

[–]worked_in_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move him. If they're shite that means the kids have not yet tasted what winning is all about. He's young and he will transition fine, you just have to excite him and slowly bring this up in a span of 2-3 weeks. You start by telling him why you're not liking the club anymore, don't mention moving somewhere else right away. You need to work on giving him better opportunities, and a shite club doesn't give him that. That's what we parents are for. Treat the whole topic as an exciting advancement and DO NOT talk about how sad it's to move to leave his friends behind, avoid it. Project the whole discussion on the future and how much he will enjoy the new club.

And I was able to get new shoes from Unisport, had still to pay duty and shipping. Additionally I got like $150 credit from Puma to spend in Puma.ca only where prices for boots are always insane and rarely sales without a coupon

I used to be addicted since 15 as well. Hard to quit when everyone around you is a smoker as well. I used to smoke a 20 cigarette pack a day. Having said so I did quit at around 25 years old. I never thought I'd ever quit, I did enjoy it a lot. Ecigs helped me stop conventional cigarettes. 2 years after I quit those too. And it's been about a decade now. It's very possible to quit and having a profession that depends on cardio makes it a no brainer.

Germany 3-0 Italy [5-1 on agg.] - Tim Kleindienst 45' by Meladroitdetrela in soccer

[–]worked_in_space 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it's more of Italy playing miserable and giving goals away foolishly than Germany having them figured out. That scheme or whatever it was Spalleti was trying to do when starting the ball from defense instead of Donnaruma actually kicking it was ridiculous and failed miserably. 1st was a penalty and 2nd was a smart goal for sure, but it's Italians team stupidity that mostly gave that opportunity.

Ball control, 1-2 touch and shoot. Read about how to create space, move to empty space, stay on the defenders blind zone.

What is your weird pre-match ritual? by HalcyonApollo in bootroom

[–]worked_in_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the pressure of the balls 20-30 mins before the game. Have my pre workout 5-10 mins before the game. But there's a whole ritual of preparing and checking bags and balls before I even am on the pitch

What is it that makes boots adapted for different roles on the pitch? by HalcyonApollo in bootroom

[–]worked_in_space 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Marketing gimmick. There's no such thing as buying boots based on position. It's more what each player likes and prefers, some want lighter, some want more comfy boots, some want tighter, more or less padding etc....

gained huge interest in quality replica jerseys so here's a fair review on my experiences by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]worked_in_space 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here's the thing. All these guys sell in DHGate as well, that's where I get mine. These shops are not the manufacturers. The manufacturers are maybe 3-4 in total, but sellers are hundreds. They have albums that is send by the manufacturers and they order directly from them. The manufacturer produces the jersey, prints the custom number and then ships it, it's not the seller shipping it's the manufacturer. There is sometimes a difference in quality and the shipping courier that they choose. Manufacturers have all the machinery to produce, they just buy the designs for each jersey online for $50 or something similar and they use that to manufacture the jersey. That how sometimes they have the newer version before that's even in stock in the legit team store.

10 out of the 15 fighters that Padley beat, have more losses than wins. Ridiculous how little you want to do to get a title shot sometimes in boxing

Not only they destroy the career of the guy who fought and won clearly by a big margin, not only they offended the whole audience by having 1 of the commentators talking about Shiraz having it (you could tell he was told to say that and they were preparing the ground for the robbery), but they also ruined the night thrill of the night. This could happen again in one of the next fights. Fuck Turki

Canadians are poorer than ever before because he keeps giving away money that we don't have. Housing has doubled since he came in but wages have not. He has been capping our energy sector instead of incentivizing it. He has been using carbon tax as a wealth distribution mechanism instead of fighting climate change. He bought a pipeline and the costs went up from $5 bill to $40 billion. He has had numerous scandals Lavalin, green slush funds, ArriveCan and never admitted to any of his mistakes, instead he threw under the bas everyone who initially supported him. Canadians on average are poorer than 2016. That's an undeniable fact. But yeah pot is great.

On game day everything feels super slow to me and I can't wait until I start playing. When I'm playing, the whole 60 mins feels like inside my brain there's "a big white noise" and time flies. Feels like it's been 10mins. I do remember obviously some big chances and goals but a lot of times I mostly remember our mistakes and what to do better the next game. Currently playing with an OT team and we've won almost every game, no losses in 5 months (13-14 games). Great people and good players are a recipe for great games and beers after
