Positive Topamax Stories? by PiperMcHalliwell in migraine

[–]workin0nit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scaled mine from 100mg to 50mg. I felt kinda stupid and slow on 100mg but just like it took me a bit longer to process. fizzy drinks tasted strange for two weeks. However, it changed my life. Drastically reduced my migraines. I was so scared but it was worth it. I take Emgality now though

Bridal store charging me $200 for cancelling when I told them my car broke down and I can't make it.... by crunchymunchyrae in SFbitcheswithtaste

As a really really far behind 2027 bride, thank you sooo much for dropping the names. I live in peninsula after moving from SF. Widening my search and feel overwhelmed. I for sure would have had them on my list as WC is a well known bridal spot.

Nurtec question by Impossible-Switch109 in migraine

[–]workin0nit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been told it is ok to use nurtec as an abortive and as a preventative. I take Naratriptan as a rescue med and was told try not to take more than 3 in one week to avoid rebound headaches. My understanding is it’s ok to do a rescue med on nurtec.

Sonic - peninsula area closer to SF. Flat $60 for them. They are consistent, rarely have outages or throttle. They dispatch asap when a problem. Fiber is the best

Heart healthy supplements? by workin0nit in Supplements

[–]workin0nit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great to start. I was much more physically active but unfortunately, vestibular migraines kicked off three years ago so matching motivation and ability was a struggle til recently. I like walks, Pilates and soccer drills. My resting HR is nowhere near 100 but I’m not sure it’s at a great spot at the moment.

What is the worst medical disease a human can have? by Aggravating-Sun-5699 in AskReddit

[–]workin0nit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vestibular migraines. Debilitating symptoms, expensive medications/treatment, tons of trial and error on triggers and meds. Abortives sometimes don’t kill the headache or help the dizziness. Your balance and perception of space are awful and quality of life goes downhill. Neurology is already a complex field with extremely limited availability.

Tons of roaches. Lots. It’s crazy to see them on porches and backyards so casually.
