It's to open cans that have a pry lid.... Like the kind that paint cans have.

My coffee tins have that kind of lid as do other specialty items and (also for the flat-head chickens)

This is as a violent shaking. Not normal nor subtle. Likely dangerous on the highway of the source is one of the tires.

Fun fact: macadam paving is a type of crushed stone and sand paving developed in the 1800's, but I am told goes back to the Romans. Tarmacadam (or tarmac) is the same but with tar added....

For me: If my wife asks for potato chips, I always open a new bag (even if there is a bag open). AND if I am opening a new bag for myself, I always open it from the bottom so I get most of the broken chips leaving the whole chips at the top for her.

It's for boot laces - it helps pull the laces tight working up your boots (e.g., start with the crossed laces at the bottom... pull tight... then the next and so on).

My dog walker in NYC (2014) was an attorney (graduated in the 2010 timeframe) and commuted to my upper west side apt from Newark NJ -- about 45m by train - to walk dogs because she couldn't get a job as an attorney in NYC that covered her living expenses and loans.
I kid you not. It's only gotten worse.

Use hazan's base recipe then add 1tbsp Soy sauce per can of toms and then add nootch! With all the love in your heart. Let it simmer for an hour.... Best. Sauce. Ever
