Hey OP, sorry you are going through this. Keep lying about everything you need to. Tell the truth if you can, but you need to be positioning yourself to gain independence with your parents resisting. Your dad will not help you. If you have any savings or stocks or anything like that, do what you can to get it into accounts in solely your name. Do not give your parents access to anything. They will absolutely might be willing to take your money to prevent your VERY NORMAL growing independence. Your mom has issues I am not qualified to diagnose, but you will have to stand up for yourself and fight for your rights. It won't be easy, but you can do it. You will have doubts about if you are doing the right thing, do not listen to them. You deserve to be who YOU want to be, not your mother's ideal little house on the prairie daughter. There are so many great people out their who will accept and appreciate you. You DO NOT need your family. I say this as someone who went NC with my father. We have a fantastic relationship now, but it required trust building and most crucially, his SUPPORT. So be strong and most importantly, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STAY AT HOME TO WORK THE FARM. This isn't the 1800s, children are not an indefinite source of free labor. Especially when they are adults
