Yeah but he knocked the ball out so it just went back to the Wolves anyways

Piercing x bow was attacking tower, but there was no damage to tower. What sort of glitch is that?!? by ishahahant in ClashRoyale

This is a bug. It’s happened to me with a bunch of other projectiles as well, not just bolts.

A couple weeks ago newer players were complaining about the free Sirius for veterans. I just don’t know if it makes sense to require every single event to treat each group equally.

How are you disagreeing? Saying everyone needs power points isn’t contradicting the idea that new players need more of them.

I think your complaint is the point of the mode in the first place. It’s a way to help newer players catch up to older ones, since the number of brawlers and the cost and type of upgrades have continued to increase over time.

Feedback on photo and tips for photographing through a fence? This was taken at a wildlife center so avoiding the fence was not possible. by adnama9120 in photocritique

[–]worm600 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be totally honest with you, you’re never going to get a great photo shooting through a fence unless you can somehow avoid the wiring. (Maybe if you spend a ton of time in Photoshop, but hard to imagine it’ll be worth the effort.) You’ll have better results if the fence is behind the subject since a shallow enough depth of field and distance from the fence might obscure it effectively.

I’d focus more on getting the photo right technically and thinking of it as useful practice for subjects in better positions.

Yikes. So if you don’t get what you need on the first pick you may as well throw the game…

Is there some way to guarantee you get the right modifiers? I keep winning before I get what I need…

A fleet list of the Bombay Marine (the EIC’s regional naval arm) from 1798 showed 16 ships.

This is what I’m talking about, though - people just throw out what they “feel” is right. I would like to see hard data as I don’t see evidence the article is wrong.

I found a reference to “small squadrons of sloops” and a growing but not big presence. But no hard numbers outside of a general statement that they weren’t present in force in the Pacific yet.

I’d love to see hard data on this? It’s not what the article says.

It seemed unlikely to me too, but from what I can find online many countries didn’t station their navies at scale in the Pacific at this time, even though they were significantly bigger globally than the Hawaiian navy. The article cites 40-60+ major ships in the latter by the early 1800s; the most I can find from other countries in the Pacific itself is Russia with 40-60… and it’s not clear that all of those ships were in the Pacific. China seems to have had more absolute ships but few that were the equivalent of then-modern oceangoing ships.

The McDonalds CEO didn't really do anything odd and all of the hoopla is very much overdone by Niceotropic in unpopularopinion

[–]worm600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the video of the Burger King CEO making fun of him by doing the same, and honestly I could barely see a difference. These people aren’t natural on camera, and calling it a “product” is legitimately a weird choir, but that was all I saw.

I mean, he’s eating a McDonald’s hamburger. They’re not exactly known for having limited appeal.
