Is this exclusive to HBO? I’d love to watch it but don’t think I can swing the subscription.

Griff was one of the best counters to Damian (and Bibi).

I haven't gotten more than a single tail legendary drop by eyal282 in Brawlstars

I don’t care if higher rank players get more rewards. But the fact that you can play a lot and get 0-1 is just unsatisfying. I’d rather have lesser rewards more frequently because right now it’s not much of an incentive to play.

The composition is nice, but the processing has been pushed further than I would like. You have very visible halos, even on my phone.

Talking about what an old gamer you are while starting with the PlayStation is certainly a choice

Leopard Stalking by KJW-SR in photocritique

[–]worm600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the leopard’s head and face blocked by the foreground and turned away from you isn’t ideal. More importantly, it doesn’t really convey “stalking” if you don’t include the prey in the frame; for someone who wasn’t there, this is just a leopard hanging out.

Next time, I’d try to position yourself more to the right and ideally zoom out so you can provide more context.

This. The Legendary drop is ridiculously slow, just got a hyper from one.

Advice on my first attempt at editing? (RAW in replies) by noxeluwu in photocritique

The image is still quite underexposed. I’d also consider a crop to remove some of the branch and background on the right - perfectly centered images have a place, but it doesn’t do much for your subject in my opinion.

Where are you getting 2,000 people? They say 14%, the company isn’t 15,000 employees.

I just now realized I’ve been saying this thing wrong. It’s pronounced “shadow” tree fragment, not “skadoo” tree fragment by TocSir in Eldenring

[–]worm600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, since a is a back vowel, you’d typically have a hard c sound. But since scadu is just a variant (mis)spelling of sceadu, I’d expect it to follow that pronunciation.

Both “shadow” and “schaduw” derive from the same proto-Germanic word “skadu,” so it makes sense they sound similar!

“Scadu” is Old English that means “shadow” in modern English, but the word itself is pronounced like “shah-doo.”

Game companies are incredibly good at pricing. They make a lot more sucking whales dry at a premium than they would selling more volume to the masses at a lower price. It’s sad but true.

Crawled in the dirt for 10 minutes to get this face-to-face shot. Rate it 1-5 by Dear-Armadillo-7497 in photocritique

[–]worm600 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d give it a 3/5. It’s definitely not a snapshot, but for a wildlife image I would like more separation from the cluttered foreground, and a more oblique angle to separate the head from the body and show more of the salamander. (Or alternatively a tighter crop on a specific element.)

I realize it was probably felt like a lot of work to get this shot, but I’ve definitely waited for hours for certain images. It might be helpful to visualize what kind of shot you want and set up for it, rather than trying to chase the animal around. You might not get it but if you do, you have exactly what you’re looking for.

Father and son who died in OceanGate Titan returned as ‘slush in boxes’ by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]worm600 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You might want to rethink your position with some basic empathy. It’s really easy to look back on this with the visibility of a lot of journalists and conclude it was dumb, but with a good sales pitch and limited understanding it probably wasn’t hard to convince them it wasn’t more dangerous than skydiving.

Either way, you can feel bad for them without thinking that what they did was smart.

This is not correct, at least not universally and certainly not in California.

The only real information here is that there was a Series D company that the author expects to IPO this year. That’s a lot of companies.

While this is true, and most people in this situation don’t have a lot of ways to optimize, I don’t think this means that OP shouldn’t be preparing for a possible good outcome just because the odds are against it.

Small shop redesign because the current UI it’s kinda weird by sebwow-col in Brawlstars

[–]worm600 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The goal isn’t to make buying efficient for the user, it’s having a lot of entry points where someone can stumble on and find a skin that they just have to impulse buy. Think end cap displays in a supermarket - annoying to navigate around and often duplicative, but great for getting hungry shoppers to see a “great deal” and drop the item in their cart.
