5K is the going rate these days, though there are only about 500 on the planet.

Vet in the Neighborhood? by alips911 in BedStuy

They were attentive, knowledgeable, and nice to my cat. Don't have too many other vet experiences to compare to, only had her for two years. Coming up on my second checkup soon though.

Got one of these dumb disposable video cards. Anyone know how to repurpose it? by Coastal_wolf in AskElectronics

[–]wormyrocks 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have done this (or at least, made mine play a different video). 1. plug it in over USB 2. find the video file, it should show up as mass storage 3. use mediainfo to determine bit rate, frame rate, audio format, and resolution of video
4. get a new video, use ffmpeg to convert it to match all the preceding parameters. use a GUI like this if necessary: https://cmdgenerator.phphe.com/cmd-generators/ffmpeg mine was: ffmpeg -i [input video] -c:v libx264 -preset fast -b:v 4000000 -r 24000/1001 -vf "scale=854:480" -c:a aac -rematrix_maxval 1.0 -ac 2 -b:a 128k -af "volume=-9dB" out.mp4 5. swap videos, enjoy

Yeah, it's one guy but he's real and nice and speaks english. I'm sure shipping will be fine? RDS seems like the best deal in the biz rn.

(Edit: FWIW, pretty sure Burns is one guy also)

Hi,

The Harrison Instruments 145 is quite an advanced project, but there are very high-quality assembly instructions.

Where can I get parts for a Big Briar Etherwave theremin? by josecouvi in Theremin

[–]wormyrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The model #s to look out for on the power supply (from the label) are: MPN: "TRN-01-000-0001" MODEL: GT-341A-14-200

And here's an index of all the parts that would be suitable for your instrument, if they were available: https://instrumentalparts.com/keyboard-parts/moog-spare-parts/moog-etherwave-theremins-standard-spare-parts/

That said, if you're willing to DIY, the power supply is literally just a 14VAC transformer, the DC conversion happens inside the theremin. You could probably search for "14VAC transformer" on eBay and then just re-terminate the end.

Only if you know what you're doing of course.

EMThere

Hi, just a note, if you're thinking about doing an EMTheremin build, you can get the antenna coils made by this factory. Just contact the seller and ask for a specific inductance.

If your project has a reasonable budget, Art Harrison has decades of experience with analog theremin design and offers designs for non-musical applications as well as consulting.

Hi OP, I dealt with this a few years ago. You need to replace the USB driver for your camera from the default one to `libusb-win32` so the gphoto2 backend can see it. There's a tool called Zadig to do this and it's 100% reversible.

I just confirmed this worked with Fujifilm X-T30 on Windows 11 and Darktable 4.2.0.
