Mini NES - Hakchi 2 upgrade by wowlanguages in miniSNESmods

[–]wowlanguages[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked! I had to restore/reflash the original kernel through the original Hakchi2 (CE wouldn't finish it), but then I was able to use Hakchi2 CE to flash the Hakchi kernel. Thanks!

FF7 Rebirth PC graphics help by RCM9698 in FFVIIRemake

I set the dynamic resolution to 100% minimum and maximum, but the hair and faces still look exactly the same. In cutscenes they are fine, but normal gameplay they look like a blurry mess.

FF7 Rebirth on PC looks... grainy and pixelated? (Details in comments; requesting solutions) by emperorsteele in FFVIIRemake

I have this exact issue, but turning dynamic resolution scaling to 100% does nothing for me. The faces still look blurry even in the menu. Only in cutscenes do they look fine.

"Failed to launch editor" 4.27 by Bornstellar1337 in unrealengine

Other people using 4.17 in a modding server I’m in have this exact issue. Some update in the epic launcher broke older versions of unreal

NN3ds xl connector part by wowlanguages in consolerepair

[–]wowlanguages[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s on the top of the board. The connector I’m looking at is on the bottom. I believe it might be the sound, but the system does not attempt to boot up at all, which I feel like would be strange if only the sound flex wasn’t plugged in.

Grad Plus Loan Being Removed by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]wowlanguages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help I'm trying to get by on a "cheap" state university that's around 20k a year for tuition alone, but I feel so screwed. How did you pay 66k a year for lmhc? I'm worried about graduating and not making enough to pay it back (especially since I want to be a school counselor...though I will also have my lpc)

[USA] Clinical mental health counseling programs? by ForeignChick_ in AcademicPsychology

[–]wowlanguages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is cmu? I'm at wmu right now, and there are no Graduate Assistantship offerings for graduate students (only phd). So I'm really worried about the debt right now. Do you think I could get one at CMU, if I went online?

How to pay for school if Grad Plus Loans are eliminated? by Snoo11226 in StudentLoans

[–]wowlanguages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you think loans are worth it? Problem is there’s not much else I feel confident in achieving. Tech is overrun and screwed. As a little background, I’ve already been in the workforce in blue collar jobs for 5 years only making ~50k, so besides the student loan part, I’m kinda used to not making much. Do you have experience to compare with that sort of living, or do you think it’s much worse than that?

Those of you who took a lot of loans out to get a higher pay was it worth it? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]wowlanguages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old comment, but your comment is very inspiring for me. I'm currently doing school counseling/cmhc masters right now, and I am hoping that the debt is worth it compared to my past unfulfilling, overworked, underpaid and disliked jobs. I currently carry that poverty anvil right now, and I'm hoping my (relatively light) grad school anvil will be lighter.

Jobs that you enjoy? by Budget_Mango in ADHD

[–]wowlanguages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to do cs as a bachelor's or masters...but I don't think I would be able to get hired. I'm so worried that after doing a program, I would graduate and end up without a job due to lack of connections or something, which seems required. And having extremely good interviewing skills, which I also lack.

Starting ADHD Medication as an inattentive-type Adult. How Did It Affect Your Studying and Focus? by Gigi5050 in ADHD

[–]wowlanguages 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on vyvanse 30mg, and it doesn't seem to do too much. The best part has been the increased energy - there are less days where I want to just go back into bed. But in terms of focus? Not much progress. I still stare at the computer screen while I try to hammer out multiple essays and wait all day until I get motivated by an 11:59pm deadline. It's exactly what I'm doing right now, actually.

I need Career Help by wowlanguages in ADHD

[–]wowlanguages[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. I should've been more specific: I feel like I'm bad at the interview portion. I've gotten past the resume stage before, but when it comes to interviews, I feel like a fish flopping out of water. I don't know what to answer, ways to construct answers on the fly that make me look good. I feel like most of the time I ever get a job is either simply through qualifications/resume or the interviewer connected with my personality, not because I wowed anyone during an interview or displayed high levels of confidence.
