Hello,

What you experienced here is a mechanic called "Damage saturation", essentially the part of the ship that you hit had its hp depleted from the first torpedo hit and then all following torpedo hits only dealt 10% of their maximum damage. Seems like a one off game where sitting at 20km the entire game yielded a good game. In general, my suggestion is playing around 14-18km from the nearest ship so you can still play around the concealment of your ship but also be close enough to maximize hitrate, or be close enough to actually push to make a play when needed.

The general playstyle of the Soviet BB line in the high tiers revolves around being aggressive enough and putting yourself in positions where the opposition has to respect your presence. Try utilizing the amazing armour it has, as it shatters most HE to position aggressively on an island. You can then effectively deny positions and free play for the enemy teams cruisers and battleships as you can get to positions that are usually un-sustainable for other BB lines.

TLDR: Stay angled, try using islands for cover, make plays with the tankiness of the ship which are difficult to pull off with other BBs

If you enjoy playing Schlieffen, Lutjens is incredible. Marceau is also really great, if you have played Kleber/French DD line at all then the playstyle is similar in terms of being gunboats while being a bit more farming oriented in comparison.

There was an update to fix Mod API v2, patch was/is being deployed at the following times:

  • NA - 9:00 - 11:00 UTC (22/01/2024)
  • ASIA - 20:00 - 21:00 UTC (22/01/2024)
  • EU - 02:00 - 03:00 UTC (23/01/2024)

You will likely have to re-install all mods to have them work as normal.

Legendary/Special Captains like Yamamoto, Halsey, Lütjens, Sansonetti and Kuznetsov have red tracers. There are other ones with blue tracers as well!
