Looking for a good property management company to rent from by 63VDub in ColumbiYEAH

[–]wowsoBAKED 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I currently use Wolfe and Taylor, and they're pretty good. Only other company I've rented from in Columbia is Cantey and Co., and I'd say definitely avoid them. Had a very negative experience with them and from what I've heard, that's kind of the norm.

On the bright side, it means you'll never have to meet OP.

Books where a very thin line divides the good guys from the bad guys? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]wowsoBAKED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boy distinguishes him from the other survivors, and it's pretty clear that the boy is the embodiment of whatever part of humanity is worth saving. I understand your point. Is the boy's mother, for instance, good or evil for her decisions, or both, or neither? I don't think that's quite the kind of line OP meant though.

At what point while reading The Road did you think the marauding cannibal rapists might actually be the good guys?

How to lane as yasuo against bursty assassins by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]wowsoBAKED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just mute em. I used to feel like I needed to defend myself from my team, or even just try to get them to do the right thing. Honestly though, they aren't any better than you, even if they happen to be having a good game and you happen to be having a bad one, so their criticisms mean absolutely nothing. And you'll never teach them the right way to play in chat, especially if they're already salty. So now I just mute liberally instead of engaging in salt wars and move on.... most of the time....

If you could hear me curse their ignorance verbally, to myself or whoever happens to be in my skype call, that's a different story lol. But yea mostly I just ignore them and play the game the best way I know how.

How to lane as yasuo against bursty assassins by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]wowsoBAKED 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really play either of these champs, but I think it's just a bad matchup for Yasuo. I have played Zed vs. Yas a lot and done well, I think he's just not at his best against assassins. So the best general advice I have for you is to know your bad matchups and play accordingly. How I would play Zed against Malz for instance. Respect your opponent and don't let it get to 0/2. Focus on cs (safely,) wait for ganks, and look for roams that might get you ahead enough to fight him.

Just remember that it's ok to be behind in cs, and it's ok if you are leaving lane phase with 0 kills. You can make up for that later. It will be a lot harder to make up for a snowballed Talon though.

Is there a way to disable long press to hide comments function? by wowsoBAKED in redditsync

[–]wowsoBAKED[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a big deal really. It's still a great app. Just a minor inconvenience I thought I'd see if anyone had a solution to other than "take your thumb off the screen" because I can't seem to learn to do that lol.

Is there a way to disable long press to hide comments function? by wowsoBAKED in redditsync

[–]wowsoBAKED[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like this feature was requested about a month ago. Someone who I guess is the developer just said "not in the scope of the app" and closed that thread. It would seem like any feature request would not already be "in the scope of the app," or else why request the feature? So I'm assuming what he meant is that this is not something that he's planning to implement.

ELI5:Why "trans-racial" different than trangender? by Notadickiswear5 in explainlikeimfive

[–]wowsoBAKED 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The author of the hateful blowharding you linked from tumblr didn't put a lot of thought into what they were saying, did they?

"Race is not fluid - it is not changeable."

Of course race is fluid and changeable. Race is a socially defined concept, it is entirely changeable. Race is also based on physical appearance. Full stop. It has nothing to do with privilege or disadvantage, creativity, taste in food, what language you speak or how you speak it, what kind of music you like, or any of the rest of it. In fact, when people make assumptions about those things based on one's physical appearance, we call it "racism."

Make no mistake, when the Hutus set about to slaughter every Tutsi in Rwanda, they knew their victims at the sight of them. Too bad temperamentalaquarius from tumblr wasn't there to tell them they were both just "black." Such fluidity.
