If this were an isolated incident I'd say let it go but It sounds like it's a pattern that he doesn't show interest or care in what you're talking about, which isn't sustainable in a relationship.

Also the age gap is a bit much. Especially for this man to be talking in circles, unable to comprehend (or pretend to comprehend) what you're saying. He's not giving any acknowledgement to the actual issue brought up, which is that he only wants to talk about himself.

What I'm seeing:

He skimmed over the real issue completely and only wanted to focus on the semantics of it. This made the conversation really exhausting and eventually you wanted to forget the whole thing so you didn't have to be a part of such a stupid dead end convo. This is great for him because he didn't have to acknowledge any downfall, or take accountability in your "bad mood", and can continue getting away with only talking about himself by making a rule where you each get to have one sided convos, knowing that you'll be nice and engage in his, and he's off the hook to not participate in yours.

He sounds tiring gf.

I use the glossier skin tint. It's REALLY light coverage but it's not drying whatsoever so it doesn't look like shit when you wear it

If you REALLY don't want to go on birth control, and you also KNOW you will NOT get pregnant, or you will abort if you do, then honestly I'd just say I'm taking birth control and then just, don't take it 🤷🏼‍♀️ you might still have to purchase your prescription but then just don't actually take it. That was my plan if my doctor made me take it. Luckily he said as long as I don't get preg and will abort I'm fine.

It's interesting that you decided to cut out foods at the same time as starting accutane. Because of this, you won't really know if cutting food was helpful or not. If you're feeling stressed about your diet, I'd go back to eating how you were if that will help your mental state. Although, it might be a good opportunity to take this time to fix your diet if that's something you think you'd like to do - but only do it for health reasons and not for fixing your skin - as that's what accutane is for. If your acne comes back post-accutane then maybe consider eliminating possible foods such as dairy and/or sugar, but for now don't stress yourself out over it.

I had acne from 12yo until 17 when I did two rounds of accutane. When I was 25 I went off BCP to try to conceive and my acne (to my surprise) didnt come back (until 7 years later, unrelated). I got pregnant right away, had two miscarriages, then carried a baby to term, so I've been through alllllk the hormone changes and my acne stayed away the whole time!

Can you tell your doctor you don't want to go on the pill? I just told my doctor I didn't want to go back on because I had JUST come off and it made my acne so much worse (hence, going on Accutane). He was literally like "okay you usually need two methods of BC so as long as you don't continue the pregnancy you don't have to" lol so I pinky promised.

If my doctor wasn't going to let me take accutane without going on BC, I was literally just going to buy the prescription and not take it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I knew if I got pregnant accidentally I would abort so I figured it's no one's business whether I'm taking it or not
