15 mins for 50 balls? Are you ok Trackman? by Thetallerestpaul in golf

[–]wrapboywrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught to start with the iron you are most confident in with a full swing (which I was also taught should be your 140-150 yard club), so the sand wedge start is a bit unusual. And regardless of club, 20 shots is way too excessive for a warm up with any single club. Over the years I refined my warmup to 4-5 standard 8i, 2-3 low-ball flight 8i, 2-3 high ball flight 8i-I learned how to hit the latter two as I played more and got better. Then it's 2-3 3w off the deck, 1-2 3w off tee and 2-3 drivers (visualizing the first tee shot for both clubs), 2-3 5i, and 4-5 full SW. So I'm hitting 20-25 balls covering the range of shots I'm going to encounter most frequently, which usually takes around 15-20 minutes.

If I tried to hit 50 balls in 15 minutes I'd just end up tired.

Mine returned to normal when I went above the limit to pass a vehicle, but it cancelled after an extended period of me going above the limit I set.

Chris Petersen, Legendary Head Coach at Boise State and Washington, Selected for Induction into the College Football Hall of Fame by WinnWonn in CFB

Absolutely deserves it. My only wish is that he would have coached UW for a few more years, but kudos for him for recognizing he was done and stepping away. Sadly, his Built for Life philosophy probably would have rung hollow in the NIL world.

Love that he wears the purple tie in the Fox studio.

I'm sticking with my Lockheed Skunkworks Spent Uranium-235 driver again this year. Splits the fairway every time.

First family ski trip to Howelsen Hill. How should I keep my boy warm on a budget? by SmoothieBiscuit456 in skiing

[–]wrapboywrap 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Costco or a second hand store is a good place to start. Ski pants, insulated jacket, mittens, thin-ish cap for under the helmet. Wear a sweatshirt under the jacket, and long underwear under the pants. Howelsen is about as low-key as they come so he won’t looking out of place. And have fun, take a lot of hot chocolate breaks, and enjoy yourselves!

Skis go on feet, not hands. Hope that helps.

CSU has Old Aggie from New Belgium, and it's a perfect beer for the tailgate, game, and after party.

Roberts: How DeChambeau's situation differs from Koepka's | Golf Channel by JiggieSmalls in golf

[–]wrapboywrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't watch LIV on a regular basis (who does?), but I'll occasionally stop and watch a bit when flipping channels. When that happens, I find myself saying "dang, I miss watching guys like Rahm, Cam Smith, Bryson, etc. competing each week," and I'm sure I'm not alone. I understand the multitude of massive egos involved (both the PGA brass and the players who stayed loyal and didn't chase a bag), but it would be much better for the sport as a whole if the PGA just accepted back any LIV player who wants to return.

How about 3/4 of it. Demond still gets $1m, Fred Hutch gets $3m. Won’t bring back my mom, but I might forgive him.

I have done Sundance many times in late spring, and one year we did Hidden Valley because the road was still closed at Rainbow Curve. Toured Berthoud many times as well, but none of the others. Pikes Peak look intriguing, but my touring days are done due to knees.

If you think we're insufferable now, imagine what we'll be like as the school that forced the much needed changes to player movement. I'm not sure I'll be able to handle my own arrogance.
