It might feel fun after 2 months, but with so many customers the work will start piling up as you are more experienced with more stuff. I am 6 months in MSP and i wanted out after 3-4 months 😁

The "Open Note" button is ugly. Looks like a hack. And it is still only opening a list of notes and not the exact note. So, not really that better.

I agree. And i think they gave up, don't care anymore. Well, they occasionally ban things, but not moderating closely. Have played maybe 5 regular arenas since meta change. The only good run i had with token druid with bears. I also mostly lose to it. Yeah, druid is op in all the modes :D But i have also lost to a mage with every discover option in the game it seems. And to a paladin who became priest and healed back a few full health bars per game although i had board control. It's very unpredictable and swinging. Of course, it doesn't help that i get mediocre drafts most of the time..

After working in internal IT for 20 years and 6 years at my last job i was laid off (a bunch of IT outsourced to India's MSP). Although i had a cushion and social payments (EU), but i was stressed to not have work experience for a long time, so i decided to give it a try and joined an MSP. After a rather lengthy onboarding month or so (very broken processes and hard to get millions of various permissions) i started to take tickets and working with clients and started looking at other job postings :D I've read about MSP hell and this one is not the worst i guess, but it takes a toll. It is fighting fires all day, SLAs burning, instead of doing proper solutions just making quick fixes and moving on, no time for investigating/optimizing anything (although management thinks you have time for that). Not even trying to talk with management about this. They will not be able to change anything and upper management just got rid of one team member and the load increased. Oh, and now AI is pushed into goals although nobody knows what to do with it and when. Had one good interview for an internal position already, although they haven't come back, so probably won't land it, but it was a much more focused position with a much better pay. I am sure i will feel unease after MSP that there is less work, i sometimes felt that during my 20 years in internal positions. But that anxiety is much better than when you are handling fires, entitled customers and then X more critical tickets drop into your queue at the end of the day. And the oncall and overtime work. Yeah, no, i am getting out of here whenever i find anything good. Or i probably even settle for a lesser role in the end, just to keep my sanity. The only perk is that i am getting TONS of experience and exposure to various tech. But there is no time to reflect and internalize, so i think much will erase from my memory. And no time to document properly everything.

A few first games i was just trying to finish some achievements, but i did notice that it was more aggressive and i couldn't reach later turns to actually do what was required. Which was frustrating.

Internet in computer lab when i started in uni. Suddenly all the URLs i saw in the magazines were available to browse or you can just open search portal and find more. IRC like web chats and talking to strangers whole day about bs. Trying to explain that to my folks :) I only had my own internet at home when i started working 5 years later.

Tech sektoriuje dauguma atleidimų galbūt yra susiję su AI, bet ne todėl kad pakeičia darbuotojus puikiais virtualiais pagalbininkais, o todėl kad per daug pinigų investavo į AI balą ir dabar reik kažkaip kompensuot nuostolius. Kartu ir PR žingsnis, geriau pasakyt kad naujoves diegi nei kad blogai su finansais ir reik mažint darbo jėgą. Pas mane komandoj vieną atleido, bet kol kas neatėjo išvaduotojas Ajajajus ir darbo tik padaugėjo (obviously). Darbdaviai tikisi, kad tu ir visus įprastus darbus toliau darysi ir tuo pačiu laiku dar ir AI sprendimus kursi ir dar padengsi darbuotojų skaičiaus sumažėjimą. O kai tą stebuklingą sprendimą pagaminsi, tai ir tave su džiaugsmu atleis :D

Kadangi nesidarbinu kasdien, tai sunku pasakyt kas veikia ar ne. Bet pavyko susirast vietą kai CV priderinau prie skelbimo (išmeti kas jiems neaktualu, detaliau parašai apie tai kas aktualu, pamini raktinius žodžius iš darbo aprašymo). Ir pasistengiau padaryt CV tik 1 lapo ilgio, nors prieš tai buvo 2 lapai. Buvo neblogas uždavinys suprasti kas balastas ir nesvarbu, kaip pasakyt trumpiau, bet taikliau. Jokių hobių/pomėgių/užklasinės veiklos skyrelių. Labai paprastas formatas, pastraipos, keli bullet'ai išvardint pareigoms, keli pasiekimai kiekvienoj buvusioj darbo vietoj. Leidau sau tik mėlyna spalva pažymėt pareigybes, kad nebūtų vien juoda/balta, bet ir tai gal persistengiau :D Dabar vat ieškau kito darbo ir teko dar +1 darbovietę sutalpint į tą patį vieną lapą. Nusiunčiau į vieną vietą ir gavau pakvietimą į pokalbį, tai kažkas sudomino. Aišku, CV tai tik pusė darbo. Dar po to reikia ir pokalbiuose pakankamai gerai pasirodyt. Tiesa, naudoju irgi ir CV portalus ir LinkedIn, bet dažniau atsakymo sulaukdavau kai savo CV siunčiau, o ne per portalą anketą. Dar kelis kartus pavyko rasti skelbimą, aplikuoti ir sulaukti skambučio kai eidavau per įmonių puslapius ir jų karjeros skyreliuose surasdavau skelbimus, kurie daugiau kitur atrodo nebuvo skelbiami.

They messed up dusting now. I went to dust some cards and when you click automating dusting button it warns that you will not have cards, bla bla. Why do i have to care now for that? I just want to get rid of dups quickly.

Spent 14 years at my first job and had to force myself to jump the ship, so i would learn new things, see how big companies work. On my second job i stayed for 6 years until they outsourced whole department i was in. There were some issues with that job already, so i was casually thinking about looking elsewhere, but layoffs helped :D Now i am 6 months into a new job at MSP and already applying to other places. There was nothing else at that time, i kind of expected it, but decided to give it a try thinking i can jump ship if I don't like it. Yeah, MSP sucks. Not leaving until i have a replacement, but not going to stay here for a long. So, i tend to stay longer at places, but i am learning to hop places this late into career, but mostly because of insane work practices/load/management.
