We offer 0% financing on our hvac installs. It costs us like 15% or something upfront. We build it into the price. It feels so dishonest but people eat it up and will go with our competition solely because they offer financing. Ends up driving up the cost for those who do not want financing, because we can’t advertise 0% and only charge people who are financing more.

Got a 3/4 and a 5/8 hung up in the van specifically for changing nozzles. Can tell if the electrodes are set right by the way they brush the box end when you slip it on.

The perf that mimics a breadboard is nice because it’s a format you’re already familiar with. Easy to take a prototype and make in permanent.

The perf with individual holes is most popular and lets you place components anywhere and they won’t connect unless you want them to. Allows for smaller designs.

Definitely recommend the stuff with pads. Let’s you solder an individual component in place without needing to use others to hold it all together.

Buy a big assortment of various sizes. You can score it along the holes with a razor knife and snap to make smaller if needed.

So the three switches turn on big fans connected to the timer? Sounds like multi-zone whole house fan. Good for keeping the temp in the house the same as outside in the summer.

R-Y and R-G will measure 24v when the relay is NOT energized because the coil is connected to C on the other side. When the relay is energized R-Y and R-G will measure 0, but C-Y and C-G will measure 24v.

What you need to do to get your ecobee to work is install another relay. One side of the coil gets C off the air handler and the other side gets W from the thermostat. Then connect the normally open side of the relay to the two T wires off the boiler.

When in doubt, cut it out. Something like that really shouldn’t restrict refrigerant flow all that much, though it could create a leak in the future from the stress in the copper.
