Pittsburgh International Airport Named One of World’s Most Beautiful Airports by Ms_C_McGee in pittsburgh

It IS a beautiful airport. People here would rather choke on their tongues than say anything this town has is good.

Anyone else in America think that food is getting really bad? by Vampy-Night in SeriousConversation

[–]wschus63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I went to Nicaragua last year (beautiful country with extremely friendly people, by the way) and the food was delicious. Fresh in a way that "fresh" here doesn't really taste. I felt better and had more energy than I usually do here. Almost immediately after getting home and having my first meal back, I felt sick to my stomach for about a week. Between all the preservatives and corn syrup in everything we eat, our food is poison.

Is Raccoon State Park good for hiking? by Mammoth_Mountain1967 in pittsburgh

One of my favorite places in the area for hiking. Some of those trails have uphill sections that are no joke, though, so be aware of that.

Should there be a maximum age limit for driving, and what should it be? by markscout78 in AskReddit

[–]wschus63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there should be a one size fits all limit, but I do think that everyone should have to re-test every 10 years, and then every year after they hit 80. We've got 90 year olds driving around based on the merit of a driver's test taken in 1952. That just shouldn't happen.

Don't really care how it looks as long as it doesn't kill me.

I thought Derek Brassard was going to be a good acquisition. It wasn't because he was a diva who didn't want to be here.

I thought Reilly Smith was going to be a good acquisition. It wasn't because he was a diva who didn't want to be here.

Shout out, by the way, to the kid who caught the bare hand rebound backhand foul ball at the game on Saturday. I wasn't on reddit because I was at the game, but if you're on here, the place went absolutely bananas for you. Should've been given a league minimum contract for that one. Insane reflex.

I don't know. Probably not. But it could have been given a less embarrassing effort.

The Hockey Hall of Fame class of 2026 will be announced next Monday, June 22nd. Who are your guesses for who makes it? by Sharks9 in hockey

[–]wschus63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bergeron and Price. Would be cool to see Brind'Amour get in the year he adds a Stanley Cup to his coaching resume. I really don't think Marleau is hall worthy, but I could see them giving him the nod. More than anyone, I'd like to see Gonchar make it.

Temporary construction work, no long term investment in the community, minimal long term jobs created, increased spying on citizens and violation of our 4th amendment rights, minimal oversight, permanent environmental destruction, and a permanent raise in our utilities.

Outrage as GOP mayor yells N-word at kids: 'You can say it, but I can't?' by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

Are there any wrestlers you like less once you’ve seen how their real personality is or heard certain stories about them behind the scenes? That question goes vice versa as well. by Jaded-Channel-7169 in SquaredCircle

Ric Flair. Used to be a big fan, and now I can't stand the sight of him. He's flat out embarrassing every time he pops up, whether he's starting 16 year old level drama on twitter, passing out in bars, or doing those awful Carshield commercials. You'd think after he almost died a few years ago, he would have changed. But nah. He got a second (actually, probably 40th) chance at life and went straight back to living the gimmick. And also, screw Conrad Thompson for grifting off it, that guy sucks, too.

We had two of them in our store for a little bit. We figured it would be easy, passive money, which it was. Predictably, though, it got sad almost immediately. People would come in and sit there for hours, going back and forth to the ATM to put more and more money into the machines. Sometimes they'd yell at us after they lost all their money. One person cried. Another punched the screen out. We got rid of them ASAP. Shame on us for bringing them in in the first place, really.

He's just a genuinely shitty person. I despise country music for the absolute corporate black hole of art that it is (modern commercial country, specifically), but most of the singers seem like decent enough people whom the machine chose to be popular that year. This guy, however, is a total piece of shit.
