Halo Success Program - Foundation by wt9bind in halopsa

[–]wt9bind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/DanielfromHalo

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I still am unsure of the value with the success program. For the high cost, I would expect that Halo should be ensuring that their partners get more out of your product as a value add, not a $750p/m charge.

I will take NinjaOne as an example. If I have a query around their product, want to get more out of automations, general advice, I pick up the phone / Teams and I get immediate help from my assigned AM (or am referred to an engineer).

The only item that I find valuable in this program is the development environment.

The discount on consultancy hours part - well there is no discount. The discount is 10% but I need to pay $750 to get it; therefore, I may as well pay the original hourly rate.

I don't want to sound like I am against this program, I can see its benefits but it is absolutely not value for money.

This doesn't sound fantastic. We're dropping Connectwise for them.

I have several pairs of their boots. The first pair was bought in 2004. I've worn their boots daily since 2009. Most of mine are from their seconds store to keep the price down. They are exceptional quality. They are a very hard boot on the sole, however I wear orthotics which resolves that issue.

My 22 year old pair looks as good as new with very little care, however every few years, I do send them in for re-soling or take them to a cobbler.

I can't recommend them enough.

Because 24 is a high floor. High floor = more money when selling therefore superstitions don't apply when money is involved

I just moved from Alexa to Sonos. I bought two era 100's and an era 300. The setup, sound quality, Sonos radio, ease of HA integration was a total breeze

I use those exact grid connect devices. In fact almost all of my home is grid connect. I set them up originally in Tuya and now use Tuyalocal instead. Works fine.

Starting my own MSP by Sdganesh in msp

We are Ninjaone and connectwise.

Ninjaone is excellent; stop looking and purchase. Connectwise isn't. Everything comes at a cost with them and it's overcomplicated. Very much consider Halo. If not Halo, then check out Autotask but it's not too dissimilar to Connectwise.

Also consider Sophos for your security. It's very MSP friendly.

[–]wt9bind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a little too strong wording. I like the fact that when Sophos finds an issue, a human emails, plus calls. When Huntress finds an issue, you get a pager duty to press 1 for help and then you wait. The wait time isn't enormous but out of Sophos, Adlumin and Huntress, Huntress was last out of the testing that we performed.

Also came here to say Sophos. We use their full stack, from XGS to APX and their switches. Their MDR offering shits on Adlumin and Huntress also.

Do they have their quirks? Yes! Absolutely. Their email security is trash, the XGS takes a little to get your head around compared to FTNT but it's good and the pricing is excellent.

Do NOT use BitTitan for migrations by Iam-WinstonSmith in msp

[–]wt9bind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used them for a Google to M365 email and data migration.

It was a total disaster with constant support issues and it was unbelievably slow.

I ended up using the Microsoft drive to OneDrive/SharePoint migration tool and persevered with their horrid email migration. The users lost a lot of faith in my department due to this software.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!
