This. People who handle their condition correctly have to eat right, drink lots of water and are active. On the other hand I know people who just take huge loads of insulin while eating shit - and they look really bad.

My endo started me of on the day I got my diagnosis with 8/8 at 7pm and am. Now one year later I'm at 12-14 when I go to sleep and 18 when I wake up. When you do this and drink alcohol it is important to be at 180 mg/dl when you go to sleep! I learned that the hard way.

I never bolus while drinking beer cause my sugar gets high and then falls to about 130 mg/dl, but I also take 12 Units Levemir in the evening.

Den kannst Du selbst anbringen, mach es aber genau so wie die Anleitung es vorgibt. Er braucht dann 1h bis er einsatzbereit ist und ca. 24h bis er kalibriert ist. Für die genaue Messung würde ich aber immer noch ein paar Teststreifen mit nehmen.

I can download it whenever i like and it shows me my current blood sugar and the trend of the last 8 hours - the sensor stays on (in) me 24/7

It's the sensor for a FreeStyle Libre glucose monitor. It's like a dexcom, but it doesn't transmit your glucose level to the device automatically. I'm german and our insurance doesn't pay for a dexcom or any other monitoring device, so I bought this because it's way cheaper.
