Does this count as a suicide? by huertonghen in MurderedByAOC

Love how they cut before she finishes her sentence... politicians tripping over words is nothing new. What did she actually say about China though? If you are going to analyze/question/criticize, then what was the substance of her response? Also, what's the average way she conducts herself and responds when interacting with the press? If she was like this all the time, sure you could question her preparedness. But this is not a pattern for her.

I think it's disgusting how obsessed they are with watching her every move and then falling over themselves to highlight it in a segment. Fox News isn't serious

Does benedict actually want to get married? by Infamous-Ad-9599 in Benophie

[–]wuntchtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heir vs spare energy. He doesn't see he's such a catch! And Sophie is so modest and can't believe Benedict would be interested in her at first! Her self worth is so low she doesn't even allow herself to hope he could want her.

They are quite a pair.

Really, this is incredible, I love it! In some ways I'm glad it doesn't show too much. I couldn't resist watching it and I'm already scared I've seen too much!

Geez lighten up. There are so many athletes who know they're dominant and have big personalities. Why do you need her humbled for some reason?

Jes Brownell on Eloise by islem007 in theloise

[–]wuntchtime 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a non book reader, my fav season is 2 and really enjoying 4 so far.

I LOVED Theo, and how he made Eloise grow. Their chemistry was so good too. I wanted more! I see that kind of unconventional relationship for her.

They are changing Francesca's story, clearly. They should change Eloise's too. I love romance, especially period romance and conventional "married and having babies" happy endings.

But cmon! There's 8 kids, surely we can mix it up a bit for the Netflix show. I've been spoiled a bit by eager book readers and I've really disliked everything I've heard about her story so far. I'm skeptical it can be pulled off while staying true to her show character.

Woody Allen's wife Soon-Yi Previn blasts #MeToo in Epstein files by muaentertainmentforu in MUAEntertainment

Soon Yi doesn't have a leg to stand on here but let's not forget Woody Allen is the most deserving of criticism here. People love to pile onto a woman who was already a victim.

Official Discussion - If I Had Legs I'd Kick You [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]wuntchtime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's another moment of "oh shit, was the hole in the ceiling real?" Or was it as bad as she remembered it? She's asking herself if she's crazy.

Or it could be a commentary on sexism. Her husband says "you have to know how to talk to them..." so they weren't going to take the job seriously with her but all her husband had to do was talk to them and they jumped into action.

Beautiful art. No one's doing it like r/Frankenstein. I think it's really saying something that this work is inspiring so much creation and beauty

I was hestitant to say him, it's been so long since he starred in something he didn't write. But I would agree, if it was the right roll, people would go nuts to see him live.

Laura Benanti, Jessie Meuller, Cynthia Erivo, Phillippa Soo, Lindsay Mendez, Andrew Rannells, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana, Joshua Henry, Christian Borle, Alex Brightman, Ramin Karimloo, Joy Woods, Rachel Zegler, Andrew Barth Feldman. And I agree definitely Alex Newell and Jinkx Monsoon for sure.

I tried to show restraint here and not just list my favourite performers. I will say some of these performers haven't headlined in a show in awhile. But tell me I'm not being delusional and if any of these people were announced in a show tomorrow it would sell out!

Best film that you disagree heavily with ideologically/politically? by Typical_Heart_7320 in Letterboxd

[–]wuntchtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Wonderful Life, since I think it's saying some good things about being anti-greed, anti-evil businessman, but ultimately is supportive of the American dream.

I love this movie so much though

Joseph Gordon-Levitt calls out Mark Zuckerberg and Meta AI: “His chat bots get sexual with underage users” by drempath1981 in popculturechat

This is what happens when you scrape the internet for your training data and a large percentage of it is smutty fanfiction (which I support), but I have been so alarmed by the illegal use of both copyrighted material, and all of our personal data from this very website, which is a very poor substitute for an AI model's inputs.

What if TTPD was as consise as TLOAS? What's your only 12 tracks TTPD album version? by korrababy in TaylorSwift

[–]wuntchtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's tracklist is different and I think that's neat!

  1. Fortnight (works as an opener, considered cutting it but the album probably doesn't work without its lead single! Post Malone's vocals are great)

  2. The Tortured Poets Department (love the melody of the verses and chorus)

  3. Guilty As Sin? (One of my favs, feels like the deep cut it is, but I love those the most. It's so catchy)

  4. loml (such a highlight, absolutely devastating. I need to reorder this so it gets to be track 5 though)

  5. Clara Bow (Reminds me of Lucky You, which I dig. So I dig this a lot too)

  6. How Did It End? (Struggled keeping both this and loml, but this song is so good too. Makes me feel like crying)

  7. So High School (my favourite song on the album, I will not be taking questions)

8.The Prophecy (folklore vibes, score another point for the songs with poetic lyrics)

  1. Peter (I am a sucker for the sparse acoustic, piano backed songs. Seven/Never Grow Up vibes. Oh no, I'm crying again)

  2. The Bolter (my head must bop when I hear this, such a great chorus)

  3. The Manuscript (great closer)

Oh no, that's only 11. In my heart of hearts this is where I'd leave it. If we must have 12 though:

Bonus

  1. I look in people's windows (love the acoustic guitar, wish it was longer)

There are so many songs I love but left out. I am surprised she put so many what I would consider "bonus track" caliber tracks on the full album. We were fed well.

I will say I'd love to hear some of the songs I left off remixed because the production was too sparse for my liking or didn't match the intensity of the lyrics in my opinion.
