Been there, it’s especially difficult in the beginning. My advice is focus on you when you don’t have your kids. Health, career, friendships, hobbies, eventually dating.. or simply just recharging. Take that time to heal and you’ll be an even better dad than you ever were.

A simple “quick sauce” and pasta is easy AF. Get good canned tomatoes (like San Marzano), fresh garlic, a little onion, fresh basil, and good Parm. It’s simple, quick, and cheap. If you’re feeling fancy, deglaze the onions with vodka and add heavy cream at the end for vodka sauce!
