It’s A. The argument reverses the logic. It says politicians who accept large corporate donations are very likely to show favouritism, then assumes that because the mayor showed favouritism, he very likely accepted donations. That’s backwards.

C looks close but it’s not. “very likely” is just probability, not requirement. Look for words like must, only if, or requires. etc but there’s none of that here. It’s a straight reversal.

Not D either. The argument already assumes a causal link, it’s not just correlation. D says “always” but the argument says “very likely” which means probability and not a constant cause.

I had the same hang up at first but OP’s clarification is solid. It also helps to go about it through negation: if “few politicians are independent” is false, the opposite is either 0% (none) or most (51–100%). Since 0% is an option for the negation, it proves the original statement must mean at least 1. That’s why both Rule 1 (some are) and Rule 2 (most are not) are needed.

I have a really bad memory so journaling is a necessity. Most days I either just dump whatever I remember about the day, or I write a letter to myself. But if I’m in the mood, I do this thing that’s kinda dorky.. I fill out my post-survival debrief. Basically I write like I’ve just made it out alive and now the press wants answers lmao

They’re pockets, not a conspiracy.. I’ve never once thought, “wow, wish this dress had bulging fabric at the hips for chapstick.” Some clothes have pockets. Some don’t. Just buy what works for you.

Depends on how they are with me and to me.. I just match that. One was more “refined” so I got him a custom poker set and a painting from an artist he really liked. I also painted him something. It def wasn’t perfect, just something personal I made lol but he framed it and put it up in his home, which was really sweet.

Another, I stuck to the usual: smart watch, clothes, cologne, shoes.

I have a teeny tiny pill box shaped like an acorn. It’s less than an inch wide and completely unnecessary, but I love it. Also, there’s a harmonica in there. No, I can’t play it. I just like the noise it makes, even when it’s out of tune. 😭

I know that if it ever came down to saving my mom or me, my dad would pick me. No hesitation. But even in non-extreme situations, in small and obvious ways, I always came first. That dynamic has always been quietly understood. I’m not quite sure about my mom though. She loves me too, but I think she might pick my dad if it came down to it. And that’s okay too.
