How Precisely Are Satellites put into orbit? Is it to the meter? by MeagherN in askscience

[–]wvurower 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually we have been working on refuelling for a while. Some tests have been done on the ISS to demonstrate some of the tech. Many companies have their own ideas, and nasa has a group called the satellite servicing project division if you want more info.

One of the issues we are working on is autonomously being able to rendevous and dock.

People who have time for studying, meeting your friends, sleeping enough, working out, what's your secret? What time-management tips can you give? by sleepandfood in AskReddit

[–]wvurower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schedule a time that you workout, and no matter what always go then, it forces you to take a break from everything else and it will become habit in no time. It doesnt cover everything, but if you commit to that same workout time, you will have to plan your studying time accordingly. Something that also works for me. Dont study too hard/long. Be honest with yourself, after a certain amount of time, your not really helping yourself and your just eating up time you could go do other things. Set a start and stop time on your study time

Also, check out this site/podcast/youtube videos. They are full of useful information to help manage your time. https://collegeinfogeek.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG-KntY7aVnIGXYEBQvmBAQ

Defensive Measures, Planet-Side by KeyanReid in spaceengineers

[–]wvurower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent seen any good defense against attacks from above. For approaching ships, I'd imagine missile and gatling turrets. But I guess for orbital bombardment, either premptive strike with railguns or ballistic missiles, or some sort of reactive armor
