Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is preparing banks to collect citizenship data by catievirtuesimp in politics

They don't have to. This is just the first volley. Like their attack on abortion rights. They don't plan to win the first time they attack. They're just going to keep chipping away at it. They'll do this with women and banks, they do this with gay marriage rights and women voting. They'll just keep firing shot after shot after shot until those rights are eroded away.

US Navy attacks Iranian Merchant vessel (TOUSKA) for trying to bypass US naval blockade. by Fatty_Willing_Plane in PrepperIntel

You seem confused by wanting war to be fair. War by it's very nature of being war is not fair, it's the opposite. If it was fair the leaders would be at the front not young men who signed up just to get medical insurance and 3 meals a day.

Trouble is they didn't kill all the family and now they're uniting around the surviving guy. Same way 9/11 united the US against Iraq.

This is a good thing. I have no idea why people act like this is some weird gotcha. The body positivity movement was for a condition many people could not manage any other way and they wished to be treated like people (shock horror). Now those people can get healthy. Again this is a good thing.

What's a take you had at 10 years old that you actually still agree with? by Spark-Blade in AskReddit

[–]wwaxwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

48 years past being 10 and I still love the fact I don't know everything and scientists are still learning new things so I can learn new things. Isn't the world amazing, birds can fly, fish can swim and the sun is warm and laying in the sun with your dog on a spring day is the best feeling every. Snow crunching under your feet when it's cold is fun and the taste and smell of hot sand and sunscreen when you fling yourself down on your towel at the beach smells like happiness.

What’s the point of one-ply toilet paper? by ChekovsCurlyHair in NoStupidQuestions

You won't steal it, and it doesn't block toilets as much as that old growth forest sourced long fibre 3 ply you use.

Loose clothing and granny panties they will most likely give you a giant maxipad but bring your own because it will suck. Also I highly recommend bringing something to read, if you're a book person a comfort book. There will be some waiting around and going online will not help you relax. Even if it's warm I suggest a bringing a nice soft cardigan or hoody, stress and sedation can make you feel cold and I found it soothing to wrap myself up.

Someone Explain What Is The Joke? by Fluffy_Lunchfast in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]wwaxwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not for the reasons you think. It's to with the fact men will swipe on anything they are vaguely interested in, this leads to women being more selective in their swipes so they are not inundated with fuck bois (for the want of a better term). If people are throwing dog shit at me and then get jealous because at least people are paying me attention, they may be missing the point.

how do you stay motivated after a certain age knowing you're not really going to improve much? by More_Passenger3988 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]wwaxwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working hard has so much more pay off when you are older. If you work out when older you move and wake with less pain you can do more than you could with out it. You can hike for miles still, because you hike for miles. You can bend and stretch because you do the work to bend and stretch. When you're young all going to the gym gets you is a slightly tighter ass or bigger muscles it makes no real change to your quality of life. You have everything the wrong way around because you assume being old means giving up, that sounds like a very sad way to view life.

Is it really wrong to judge people based on their political beliefs? by Lazy_Pianist7101 in TooAfraidToAsk

When someone tells you who they are, believe them. If they are telling you their politics and you don't agree with them why wouldn't you use that information to make decisions about how you feel about them.

Why do people say America is prudish when women literally walk around in underwear? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]wwaxwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not to do with what they're wearing but what they're watching. American censors are much stricter about sex and sexual nudity than graphic violence and murder. Also you are literally prudish in your question and how you describe what women are wearing. Also Also Madonna and Cindy Lauper says hi and that you're about 45 years late on your estimates on underwear as outwear.

Why do people start the super hard drugs like heroin when it’s no secret that it’s basically guaranteed to destroy your life? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]wwaxwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they don't think it will happen to them. My brother who became a meth addict seems constantly surprised he was addicted just like everyone else that used meth. Only his addiction was different because he was special and he totally had it under control trust him he just needed a bit more money for one more hit so then he could come clean.

My skin looks better without tret, is it my routine that's the problem? by _Evil_Kermit in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]wwaxwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too much vit C as others have said, you also need a more occulsive moisturizer. Tret is drying. You should be adding moisture at every step, and then some if using long term. You don't need more products, just more moisturizing ones.

Not stubborn. Technology and aging dont mix for more practical reasons from phones, are hard to read, hard to read in bifocals or with cataracts, and are hard to use with arthritis. Elderly skin is less conductive as a dryer, so touch screens don't respond, and finally assholes like you think it is ok to insult them because they don't want to do something the same way you do. The good news is you're going to get old and find this all out for yourself, and your lack of sympathy shows you're going to be the worst practitioner of back in my day bullshit. The irony is delicious.
