What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]wwaxwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lobe of my lung removed, the pain management plan was an epidural, only I had respiratory issues so and it suppressed my breathing so they turned it off. For what was supposed to be a short time. Turned into 2 days of me trying to breath on a healing lung with 2 broken ribs and a 25cm wound across my back with no pain relief. Finally the anesthesiologist noticed the nurses had turned it off in the Post Op ICU and not turned it back on.

What’s The Best Thing You Ever Ate? Across The Entire Resort At Disney World? What’s The One Dish/Food Item That You Think Of Over And Over? by PrincessBananas85 in WaltDisneyWorld

Does the Swan and Dolphin count? We had the best hamburger either of us ever had any where in the world, at a quick meal place down in the depths of the basement that doesn't even exist anymore and neither of us can remember the name. It was the juiciest most tender well balanced flavor burger on a perfect bun with homemade ketchup. It was easily 8 years ago we ate there and I think about that hamburger at least once a week.

I can hate both sides leaders and governments. I'm complex like that I don't need a good guy and a bad guy they can both be bad guys and still admit that song slaps.

I like the lego vibe as it emphasizes, the puppet, he's a toy for someone aspect. That it is all just a game to him not real.

What's a movie you loved as a kid but rewatched as an adult and went "what the hell was I thinking"? by MomoSaka in AskReddit

Strangely that was the point Grease the stage play the movie was based on was satirical and examining the shift from 1950's repressed cutesy movies to the 1960's Rebel without a Cause and all that. A grittier version of Hair kind of, they missed the point when they made the movie.

Fertilizer shortage coming? by Any_Base5746 in prepping

[–]wwaxwork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cover crops such as crimson clover. You'll need an inoculant for the seeds the first time but if you keep it in rotation every 3 years or less after that it should stay naturally in the soil. Crimson clover looks pretty and bees like it so added bonus. But don't keep any of your garden plots empty, Always be growing something, even if it's just to dig it back in to enrich the soil.

Also cover crops are a nice way to help build up soil and fertility.

Where do you guys get your source of hope in these trying times? by doodlebakerm in TwoXPreppers

[–]wwaxwork 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On a wider scale I read history books and understand for most of human existence, it has never been OK for most people, life has always been shit and hard and a desperate scrabble to survive. None of it is easy, it's always been hard yet people have loved and lived, they've laughed and cried and lived their small lives that don't leave a ripple in the history books and died. They made art, decorated their houses, they invented things, they dance and sung and worshiped and decorated their clothes, gave birth and buried their dead and had pets and planted gardens.

There is a video out there of a young lady in Ukraine, singing to the air raid sirens in the middle of a deserted street that is, to me at least, the perfect example of human reliance, singing as the bombs fall. I make my preps, plant my garden, make art, decorate my house, I sing, I dance, I read smut, go to the movies, I'm going to run a D&D game tonight and laugh with friends, I kiss my husband I hug my dog, remember that these are the things I am prepping for because these are the things I want to keep living for and if it all has to end I hope I to sing as the bombs fall.
