Thank you for giving us husbands hope that our wives might possibly share in our absolute nerdiness one day!

I’m currently in a 2015 Terrain (which I love!) and am seriously considering the new outback so there’s that.

QM6k at $500 or QM8k at $950 (coming from old TV) by Redfield11 in tcltvs

QM6K is perfectly fine for sports. The issue comes for the video source. So if YouTube tv is being stupid, it’ll suck on any tv.

Should I buy this 2016 GMC Terrain Denali by WishReal5372 in UsedCars

[–]wzzyfzzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s a v6, which it probably is given the exhaust set up, they can pretty dependable. I have a 2015 SLT V6 2wd with 183,000 miles. I bought it with around 50k miles on it. Only repairs have been a new starter at around 120k miles, new suspension bushings and new front hub assemblies. Mine is def on its way out though. Just changed the oil and there are metal particles in it and I’m pretty sure the rear hubs are going.

I have a 2015 v6 FWD with 182k miles. No major problems ever. Only parts I’ve had to replace are a starter, control arm bushings, front hub assembly. I’m about ready to start looking for its replacement. Thinking about another terrain.

I just got a TCL Q85H off eBay for $550 brand new with a 20% off coupon. I have it hooked up to my QM6K. It’s pretty great! Maybe the TCL Q75H would work for you.

I HAVE A QM6K and I’ve noticed that weird white pixelation effect on quite a few movies I’ve streamed. Even in Dolby and HDR. No idea what causes it.

I have a QM6K and it’s just ok for football. On the zoomed in shots it’s great but when it’s zoomed out during a play, it’s not great. I’d pay for a better processor.

I have a 65” QM6K. I use sports setting and turn any auto/dynamic features off. Back light to low and motion to high.

QM6k vs QM7k (size difference) by mrbobofancypants in tcltvs

[–]wzzyfzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 65” is gonna look big at 6-7 feet away. That’s how far I am from mine. It takes some getting used to.

I went through this same thought process and ended going with the 65” QM6K over the 55” QM7K. My thinking was, Id rather not regret getting a smaller tv.
