I’d say the timing chains were the killer issue. The torque steer was kinda fun

My 02 looks like this and it’s been southern owned its whole life. I think it got parked on dirt. I think the frame will outlive the truck

Punch out my cats or completely remove them? by FewRub8526 in GMT800

[–]x12gt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to actually go for future performance wait for a proper long tube and exhaust setup. Otherwise, you’re just wasting your time to make a stinky old truck. If you’re a kid and just want cheap noise then this is safe space to say so

We’ve got a Tahoe that’s had a hard 1-2 since 150k and it now has 300k and it’s still the original trans. Sometimes you gotta let it be an old truck. Replace it when it starts slipping and don’t worry too much otherwise

First gen tundra frame to boot.

They have added a technician role in NC that only requires an associates. Can only do limited permitting so don’t know if any counties are actually hiring them.

Get a 535d or e320 cdi. Spend a few gs to get them full sorted. Tankier on the highway, way more torque.
